30 155 lb squat clean and jerks

  1. I used 155 lbs but I just did squat cleans, I skipped the jerk because of my shoulder. At least I did some work I guess. I didn't go as fast as possible because I really need to watch my form with this kind of weight and all of my pangs.

    I did go ass way below knees on every rep and stood it up with locked knees up top - strict long ROM there.

    TT 7:15

    That's help get ya strong

  2. WOD's really give you a different perspective.

    Thinking Before the WOD:
    95 lb. warm-up - 5 reps = 20 seconds
    135 lb. warm-up - 5 reps = 20 seconds
    155 lbs is only 20 lbs heavier

    therefore 155 lbs - 30 reps, 6x5, 15 seconds between sets = 5-6 minutes

    After WOD:
    155 lb C&J is heavy
    30 reps is a lot
    155 lbs is a lot heavier at rep 20
    not a machine, 6x5 with even sets/breaks = ya right

    hit the 20 rep mark at about 5 minutes
    took almost another 5 minutes for the last 10 reps

    TT = 9:52

  3. Mike I hear ya man... I did the first 20 in 4:00, then the last 10 in 3:15. Caught up to me, and I was even pacing myself!
