Fight Gone Bad!!

6 comments:

  1. Had two buddies over for this one this AM @ 6:15. My one buddy Chad hasn't worked out in many years (10 or so?) but he has been sticking with it since he started last week. I am proud of him. He is trying to quit smoking, probably about 40 lbs overweight. He's a big dude, about 275 lbs, 6'3" or so.

Anyway, I got 329 (120, 103, 106). All RX'd of course. Only the second time I've done this since building the rope climb chute so full WBs.

Should be getting that second rower today. Wife is still a little bit mad at me for spending the money but we are having fun running this gym with so many friends coming over all of the time, it's worth it to me. Not like a C2 will "go bad" any time soon. Our kids are 6 and 4 and I bet they will be rowing on these things when they are in training for high school sports! :-)

  2. Nice numbers Fletcher!

This workout officially just kicks my ass. Well rested, well feed, no beer last night and still pathetic numbers. I came out guns blazing with 32 WB and 31 SHP,just like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and then by the begining of round two, just like Butch and the Kid, I found myself facing the entire Mexican army! Total reps as rx'd 259, 30 under pr and 41 short of 300, my unachieved goal for about 3 years now.

  3. I know, when I see FGB part of me goes "that's a fun one" but most of me goes "man that thing sucks"....

JTS - Here's how you get to 300.... pace, and strategize. Know your strengths and know how many reps of each move you need to get there. That's sort of what I do. I would think you could get about 35 PP's per round as strong as you are. Do 28 WB's and then stop.... do 25 SDHP's and then stop, then HAMMER those PPs... go for 13-14 on the rower, not 16 cos the two points isn't worth the breathlessness. But have a plan... map it out on a grid and then try to follow it.

  4. I'm STILL trying to get over this damn head cold/chest thing I have going on. I was out of the gym damn near a week before Tuesday. I hit the WOD from last Monday (run 400, 3 rnds of pu's, pullups and squats which felt ok, but I could def' tell I've been sick/away. So I tried this one today and it was pretty piss poor. I had 0 stamina and really felt it in my lungs. Anyway, at least I got it in.
    As RX'd 267.

  5. That cold that is going around lasts a long time. I had it a month or so ago and it was a two weeker

  6. WB were only 15# ball and 8ft target. Everything else Rx'd. Total: a horrible 217.

How do you get the rower (PM3 computer) to stay on longer? It is always off when I get back to it. Thanks
