SumoHP/Lateral 24" Jump 21,18...3

  1. Holy sweat feastival. Used my 24" step ladder and a broomstick connected to the dog kennel to set up the 24" jump. I didn't miss, but I would have to say if you are going to hit the bar, do it on the way up and not the way down. It is a little scary. I actually thought a helmet might not be a terrible idea, but I didn't. 12:51 as rx'd. Great fun total gasser of a wod with a seriously functional movement for those of us who ski.

  2. Justin you've been throwing up some great times lately. 12:51 seems fast for this!

  3. It certainly didnt seem fast when I was bent over gasping for air and trying to convince myself I wouldn't fall on my head on the next lateral jump:)

  4. Justin thanks for posting a number to shoot for. I came up short though. What an ass kicker of a WOD. Harder than in looked. I took the advice in the demo video and jumpe with my knees and not my feet. I didn't hit the bar once. That certainly keeps you honest with your ROM on those. I didn't want to break my ass by falling.

    As Rx'd: 13:27

  5. I had to sub double unders for the lateral jumps, seemed pretty close to fair, I wasn't very good at DU's today, missed a LOT. Still though lateral jumps must be harder cos I went 10:40 and my metcons haven't been stellar lately. Although SDHP's are a strength of mine, one of my few. Did you guys see that article on pullups? Pretty good..
