95 Thruster Hang Power Clean and Sumo Fun Day!

  1. Fletcher, do realize have never redone this wod from when you quit after six rounds on 090625? Time to get on your horse.

Holy suck factor and I am still sick so it got pretty ugly round in the middle rounds. 10 rounds + 5 thrusters+1 clean = sore as shit in two days I'm guessing.

Have fun with this one boys.

  2. That was awfully hard. Went to the Bronco game yesterday, then out for Mexican food and margaritas... so ya.. once again had some adult beverages, which made for a foggy WOD. This was really all about a mental battle. I got the first two rounds in unbroken, like 2:00. Went way downhill very fast from there.

Finished with 11 rounds + 5 thrusters + 1 HPC at the buzzer.

It was all about fortitude and not resting too long when I wanted to just sit there and feel sorry for myself.

    garage gym was 32.

Amazing I beat Myles of 4 years ago... and you too JTS! If I hadn't seen your post, I might not have pushed as hard in the final few minutes. It was a hard finish.

Haven't been on the blog in a few days cos yesterday I hauled my kids up and down a snow hill on their skis (I was the ski lift) and the two days before that I was so sore from 100GHDs that I thought I was actually injured. Even 5 dead hang pullups in warm ups this AM hurt the abs and I did those GHDs like on Wednesday? Maybe 100 GHDs is too much anymore...

  3. Damn Fletcher nice work! I would say your hang over and my cold made us pretty much so even, so you take the win straight up.

I think you are right to on the in work out rest, otherwise known by this crossfitter as "pity parties." I had a few in the middle rounds that i should of limited to 5 seconds, especially after the sumos, but I found myself doing the bent over are you fucking kidding me there is how much time left stance for 10 to 15 seconds. Do that 5 times and you just lost a round.

  4. Thanks bro. It was always during the Sumos. I did all thrusters unbroken, and most of the HPCs, but it was the time between moves. I tried to leave one SDHP... (like go 5/4), then on the 10th, pull it up, then move my hands out and go right into the thrusters... just so I didn't have to clean the bar again to start the thrusters.

  5. I meant the "Bar stare" syndrome was always during the SDHPs... the pity party. Those are pretty tough @ 95 lbs x10. Toughest part of the WOD especially in the later WODs. I totally remember the collapse in the 94 degrees. I felt so terrible that day.

  6. My first WOD in a while. I have been doing other things training wise, but figured I'd see if I can fit a couple in before Vegas this week. Yeah, I forgot that Crossfit likes to find a particular muscle, then work the shit out of it. My forearms were SCREAMING! I had to take more time between sets so the feeling would come back and I could grip the bar. Great WOD even though I wasn't able to do much.
7 rounds total. I have a feeling my traps will be sore for a couple days.

  7. Brutal ass WOD. Forearm killer for sure. I got 10 rounds in and maybe 1 Thruster at the buzzer. It was close.

    Tough as shit
