I was slow and took my time on this one just to avoid abdominal cramping or smashing my face in on the 2 for 1s. Good won but my body was in no shape to give 100% today. As rx'd 11:35.
Dave: Nice to have you aboard. Good job on finishing the Wod. That is a landmark one to get done as rx'd, even without a vest. First time I ever did it I was subbing 20# lat pulldowns for pullups by the end of the workout. Took me about a year to do it without a vest and then another year to do it with a vest. Just curious though, why walk to and from the park on a wod that starts and finishes with a run?
Changed this one a little. I do not have a GHD so I did them on the ground. For the WB2F1 I used a 15# ball instead of a 20 and caught the ball and did an extra squat. Total time 5:16.
@Justin. I decided to do the workout in the park while I was already running. When I do my pull-ups in the garage I use Pump Rocks by Nicros, which are like doing them on rings. I wanted something a little more stable even though they would all be dead hang pullups. So I grabbed my water bottle, a yoga mat, cup with chips for counting and headed out. Next time I'll have to practice the 6Ps and get a better time.
What's up fellas? Fighting a cold so I've been laying low past few days. This WOD surprised me. Had me sweating good at the end. I don't have a 10# ball so I used 2 5# dumbbells on the GHD. I didn't throw these obviously but touched the ground each time and simulated the throw. Wall balls as RX'd, timing is tough on those.
TT 7:41. I used our 12 lb Dynamax ball so I could bounce it off the wall (our 10 lb ball is one of those little sand filled things).
I didn't go to the ground on the GHDs, went to flat with ball held up and over my head. That was damn hard on the core to stop and freeze like that and then change direction with the ball over my head.
I looked like the guy on the video on the WB241s, I'd catch the ball on the way up on my second squat and it would "UMPH!" into my chest. Those are crazy. had to get off of the GHD twice cos' I missed the catch. The Dynamax balls don't always bounce right.
I am doing 1K x3 rowing sprints tomorrow. This is a workout I am not looking forward to at all. FranX3.
Ok, did this one today. Had to sub w/a stability ball for the GHD's but I tried to keep my arms out so to put a little extra stress on my core. Did not have a 20# ball for 2fers, so I subbed 18#... still the movement was a bitch and coming back up was brutal. I think the stability ball helped my time as I cruised through the GHD's. TT 4:35

Welcome to the board Dave and Wy!
10# ball what the FUCK??? I totally misread that, no wonder I wanted to die on those. I used my 20# ball throughout the wod:)
