CrossFit Crested Butte

  1. we are on vacation this week and today was rainy and cloudy so we decided to go to the local CrossFit gym. It was great, the owner Carrie Chernoff was VERY knowledgeable (she's pursuing a Level 3 certification right now). We did extensive warm-ups (tabata stuff, some yoga/mobility type stuff), then we did deadlifts but started with just the bar doing variations of Good Mornings. I worked my way up to 255x5... which honestly was not physically that challenging, but that's as heavy as I've gone in a very long time and it felt good.

Then we did a metcon which was 4 RFT:
12 KBS (72 pounder, haven't swung one of those in years)
    12 burpees
    12 V-Ups (6 per side)
    Row 300M.

TT 15:31... some local skinny guy beat me by about a minute. He was in his 20s though.
