Six rounds for time of:
24 Squats
24 Push-ups
24 Walking lunge steps
Run 400 meters

  1. My buddy Blake Pickett came up with an idea for certain wods. On some exercises, you pick a minimum number of reps, like 20 DUs, then you have to get all 20, or its a no rep and a do over. Any way it is very interesting the way this changes your mindset towards each set. Today I used the "Pickett Minimum Rep" as follows:

    24 squats PMR=24
    24 Pushups PMR=6
    24 Lunges PMR=24
    Row 500m PMR=2:10

    The squats and lunges just about killed me. In rounds 5 and 6 I thought for sure I was going to fall down on reps 21 through 24 on the lunges, but the thought of a no rep kept me moving. I was starting to redline as Fletchers says in rounds 4 throught 6, but I got them all unbroken. I could have probaly go with 8 on the push ups and 2:03 on the rows.

    This is a great wod. It is brutal just like a hero wod should be. 33:03 with rowing.

    If tradition holds and Fran is tommorow, it is going to be miserable for this fat kid. As is already cramping up!

  2. Sweet post. Man....shit... I did that big time 2 rounder a couple of days ago, then my sickness relapsed. I have a flu like thing lingering around and doing WODs just slows recovery so I am waiting til I am better. Missing the WODs really bothers me. I shouldn't have went so hard the other day, I could tell right away that it was too much for a guy with a cold.

  4. Ok, I'm back as well. The holiday season is over and I am hopeful that my workout schedule can resume, esp when the damn kids go back to school. Anyway...
    Did this one w/some extra motiviation. You see, when you have a "gym", there are times of the year when people all of a sudden decide to show up. Resoultionists, and kids on winter break. I HATE this time of year. I go later in my work day because it's normally quieter and I can get done a WOD or weights.. whatever. Today I am doing "Loredo" and I am using the basketball courts. Normally, no one is in there from 1-4. Today? I'm on my 2nd round and peeps start coming in and soon enough there are random airballs coming at me and sublt signs of frustration that I'm running my 400 around the perimeter. Soon it's packed, which motivates me to boogie this one out. BOOM! As RX'd 23:52. The lunges were really getting to me as I had to keep form, and dodge douches at times. Frustrating, but not a bad time.

  5. Blazing time Wy! I didn't mention, but I was sure to be strict on ROM here. Had a buddy watching me actually. Pushups (like in the video) were chest, stomach, and thighs on the floor... squats were always ass below knees and full hip extention, and lunges were knee touch the floor. Standards baby.

  7. ROM for pu's and squats were true, but I cannot lunge w/my right knee all the way to the floor so I try and make it a wider stance. My ass will be feeling it tomorrow.
