Bike, Row, Run, KBS, WB, Pull-Up Hexathon?!

  1. This will be a fun one. We are about to leave to do a nasty mountain bike ride again. Steepest climb along the Front Range, Mt. Falcon. Dave, you know this one well! Tomorrow I'll hit this up.... I think. Keep feeling like I am catching a cold. We'll see. The bike is 1.87 miles or something like that. I'll probably just bike around the hood twice, which is about 2 1/2 miles.

  2. Mountain bike ride last night was very hard. Wy knows it... Mount Falcon is "the test"... so brutal.

Went to dinner last night, had some fancy gourmet stuff (buddy gave us a gift certificate for referral business), then came home made a big margarita, watched "Silver Linings Playbook" (great movie), slept NINE hours, woke up this AM and did this WOD!

    29:55 RX'd

Bike was about 3,200M (just the way the course worked out). Clock was at 8:30 by the time I was off the bike, and changed shoes and had the KB in my hands.

    KBs went 35/15/10/15

Row was just at 4 minutes
    WBs went 20/10/10/10/5/5
Run was slow as hell I am sure

Pullups took about 2:30. All chin-ups (palms out) cos' the bicep tendon.

    Party time.

    Off to church.

    Then swim.

  3. Scaled KBS to 35# and WBs to 15# ball 8ft target. Also it is pouring outside so did all 1000M rows.

  4. I kicked the crap outta this one! My first WOD in almost 2 weeks but I felt good. Time on the bike was ok, esp since I've had none, but the KB's were solid.
Sets of 25-20-15-15. I had a guy rowing next to me so that helped since he was going at a decent clip. I have a slight fear that I may be getting some type of arthritis in my knee since lately it's been inflamed and sore during and after workouts. Nevertheless, I slammed some WB's out then jammed on the 800. What saved my time from under 30, was (to my surprise) pullups. I did 15 on my first set and 10 on my second. From there, I did 5 reps for teh remainder w/a small break. Felt wasted, but pretty good. I thought about shutting down a while from WODs because I had various nagging injuries, but this one sounded "fun". I think I will keep WODs in my routine.

  6. So you just HAD to beat me by 8 seconds? I feel OK with that, since you run TWICE as fast as I do! LOL. Nice work bro.

  7. HA ha! I double checked my time since I was pretty surprised. I felt I could do this under 30, but w/WODs, I always have a goal and rarely achieve it.
