  2. Well I couldn't do this one even if I wanted to. But I had a buddy meet me at the garage gym at 6:15 this morning... his first CrossFit WOD. Of course I served up Fight Gone Bad. I did two rounds as well but my back couldn't handle the push presses so I did pushups. Didn't take score but worked hard. Then right after that we did tabata pushups (22,20,15,11's) and squats (13's except 15 on final round, burn!). Good WOD. Felt nauseated after.

    This buddy of mine was a "certified trainer" but he didn't seem to be very knowledgeable. His squats were on his toes, about 1/2 ROM, never rowed or done a push press, I could go on and on. Makes me really appreciate the CF community. I think we all could be better trainers than a lot of globo trainers just by what we learn from the videos and the journal! Seriously. Pretty cool. Oh, he'd never seen a GHD or done one either. So of course I made him do 10 of those... he was like WOW!

  3. So I did heavy back squats yesterday. Got 365 then jumped to 405 and didn't get it. Was crunched for time. Then today's wod ate me up with those kettle swings

  4. I scaled the kbs to 1.5pd, else as rx'd.

    TT = 12:15

    It's amazing. A year ago, I dumped 225# trying for a 1RM. Today I put it up 20x as part of the WOD. Still chicken legs, but stronger ones than before.

  5. Chas, that is an amazing improvement for an old man in a years' time. I am jealous. I simply cannot back squat... like ever again.

  6. I scaled the KB swings to 1.5 pood as well. Everything else RX'd. Good WOD. I agree kbs hurt. 2 pood had to be nasty. Maybe next year with my new fancy shoulder I'll give it a go

    TT: 10:35

    Peace out
