  1. I wonder if we should recruit more bloggers? The blog is losing steam, but I still love reading you guys' comments.

This morning I met a group of about 8 guys and we did the dreaded Mt. Falcon for some nasty mountain bike climging. Got the climb done in 41:38, 3:30 faster than last week. Pushed really hard, got my heart rate up to 182!! That's like as high as it goes. Average HR was 7 beats faster than last week, 155, which includes the downhill where it is usually at 120ish, so I was really humpin' it up the hill today boys.

  2. We've been having a fun CF week here in the CT. With my nephew Robin here, we've been hitting the mainsites but subbing the erg for whatever runs come up.

I did a rest-day 5K yesterday, 18:53 (gave him the day off). No records but I was targeting 19mins so just under that.

Today we did 6x500m on the erg, and each one of us rested while the other one went, to match the mainsite WOD rx. Went well; the kid has a good stroke for a 16yo, nice and smooth. Good coaching up there in NH it looks like. Anyway,

    Me 1:41/1:38/1:39/1:40/1:41/1:40
    Him 1:44/1:44/1:44/1:45/1:49/1:50

Fun WOD but those last couple rounds hurt like a bitch!

  3. Funny you should mention recruiting Fletcher. I was with one of my partners today and caught him picking a callous on his hand. Turns out he goes to a CF box in Baltimore, right nextdoor to our office down there. I'd have him on the blog but he only gets in there a couple days a week, and as with most boxes I suspect they program their own WODs rather than mainsite. Still a good small-world experience though.

  4. What's up fellas?!! Sorry, I haven't checked in for a while. I've been travelling basically since June 4th and just got home to Montana late Tuesday night. I ended up going from Houston to Grand Canyon-Vegas-SLC-MT, then to Phoenix-Reno-NYC-Philly-Jersey shore-Philly-Syracuse-Niagara Falls-Toronto-Montreal(SUCKED!)-Portland-Philly-Boston...and back to Montana.

So, I've gotten fat and fallen out of shape as I've been travelling and eating terribly. I started out trying to work out 3 times a week, but wasn't able to keep that up for long. I hoped that walking as much as possible during my ventures would help, which I'm sure it helped some, but there really isn't a substitute to CF.

Anyway, I'm back home now and will be following the main site as much as possible. I'll have to sub for rowing or days which involve lifting. But, I'll be back on the blog.

Basically ran this one today at 2 - 2:30 minutes on, 2 minutes off.

Anyway, glad to be back. Later fellas.
