I couldn't deal with the subs, so I ran. Not sure on distance out in 20 back in 18:30, beatiful Teton views one way and lovely Munger mountain views on the way back.
Hey guys. Wow, I like vacation. I am sitting out overlooking Vancouver from our waterfront condo at this very moment. It's a dream. Here's my workout accounability update for the week.
saturday - 200 pushups for time in hotel room. 7:45. It went slow...
Sunday in Seattle, in Woodinville, WA, nada.... super lazy day, got a pro 90 minute massage, ate and drank a lot and was generally lazy, watched a movie in bed in the room, 5 star dinner, it was awesome
Monday got to Vancouver - 3 1/3 hours on the bike right away, great way to see this kick ass city (rowing club just went by along the water, yelling out their strokes, kick ass!)
Tuesday - Drove to Squamish, 3 1/2 hour mountain bike ride, ass kicker, super bad ass way fun, proceeded on up to Whistler. What a freaking bad ass place. Are you kidding me? (remember, this was where the 2010 winter olympics just were? KILLER place. I can't say enough).
Wednesday - Three separate all super bad ass amazing mountain bike rides. One hour ride 1, 90 minutes ride 2, another hour ride three. Stopped in to CrossFit Whistler to talk to Jordan the owner, really to get a T shirt too, so my only souvenir was a CrossFit Whistler shirt. No way was I going to do a WOD though, I was SPANKED. Drove back to VC this night....
Thursday - This was Chelle's day for shopping, which means hours upon hours of walking on crushed legs.
Today - The Grouse Grind. Look it up online. We hiked up a STEEP mountain, 2,800 feet up in 1.8 miles. we did er' in one hour flat. It was gnarly. I couldn't hardly walk at the top for a few minutes, going up the stairs to the lodge/cafe place was freaky. rested, took some electrolyte supplement I brought with (Ultima, highly rec'd) ate some food, felt better.
that's it for vacation WODs. So much more happened, but this is just a WOD blog!
I subbed a bunch of this WOD to keep it under ceiling-height. It was still hard, but actually pretty fun. If you're a CF masochist, that is.
ReplyDeletePart A: 30 PUs hands up/10 pullups/21 95# OHS/10 pullups
Total: 1rd plus 22 pushups
Part B: 30TTB/21 95# ground to OH
Total: 1rd but I did 25 G-OH by accident
Part C: rings set @ armpit height, 5 burpees to ring dip, 36 PUs from sitting
Total: 3 rounds in just over 12mins
I rested about 1min between parts.
