Sprint Triathlon??!?!!!???!!

  1. I actually did set my alarm for 5:30 on Father's Day and get my ass up and did this thing.

I subbed a 5K row for the run. Combining a big row with a ton of swimming is grueling.

    Times were something like:

    Row: 20:00
    transition to bike about 2:30
    Bike: 55 minutes
Transition to swim: 5:00 (because my 3 year old was out of bed, came out to garage, had to take care of him really qucik)
    Swim 16:42

So TT all in was: 1 hour, 49 minutes, 12 seconds.

I could do this 15 minutes faster with better transitions and a road bike. I used my only bike, a mountain bike, with knobby tires. I got passed by two girls on road bikes. Road bikes are way faster.. they just are.

    I am smoked!

I think all 3 sections were equally challenging in their own way. The was particularly difficult but not as long. The row was, well... suck, as all 5K rows are (although I did indeed pace, I can row faster than that but knew I had a long way to go) and the bike was just frustrating... biking into a headwind most of the time on a slow ass bike.

Sorry for the long post, lots to talk about with this one.

  2. Swweeeeett! Nice work Fletcher. How many laps is that? Imagine how much faster your swim would be in a lake or bigger pool
