Holleyman

30 rounds for time of:
5 Wall ball shots, 20 pound ball
3 Handstand push-ups
225 pound Power clean, 1 rep

  1. I scaled PC's to 175. I did the first 15 rounds of HSPU's full ROM, last 15 rounds were to ABMat. My shoulders are smoked. Toughest part of the WOD for me.

  2. This one required a lot of focus. Nothing like being blasted and relizing you're 15 rounds in.. 1/2 way. My strategy was to keep an even effort and just move. did that. What was BS though is my club moved the wall ball to the further side of the gym (scuff marks) so that cost me some time, but it is what it is. Was able to do the HPSU's but had to scale the PC way down to 115. Even then, I had a few issues, but made it.

  3. I wasted a lot of time and energy trying to get a rep at 225#s, but I just could not get it done. I moved down to 205# and basically was unable to proceed with the HSPs as rx'd during round 7, so I stopped. Also, cleans were failing and it was just getting ugly. Way to finish fellas. I hope to figure out what is wrong with my power clean and give this another go soon.

  4. Hey there fellars, this was a storm!! I had to Fletcherize it. I don't know if or when I will be able to do heavy overhead stuff like HSPUs, my shoulder has been tweaked for a good year it seems.

    So I subbed 7 pushups for the HSPUs. Should have done more but whatever.

    Scaled the PCs to 185. Those got gnarly later in the WOD but I stood up under each and every one.

    WBs were RX'd to 10 feet with Dynamax ball in the ol' rope chute.

  6. 7 pushups per round isn't 1/2 as hard as 3 HSPUs though... I should have done 10 but I was like "300 pushups sounds a little crazy?"
