Scaled OHS to old guy setting of 135 and did all sets unbroken. Could and probably should have done this RX'd @ 155 but oh well. Trying to keep it safe up in here.
I scaled it to 95#s @ 10 reps cause 155 hurt my shoulder and knee in warm up and then my knee and shoulder were barking again after trying one round at 135, so I went true old man style on this one and started the workout over with 95#s. 11:28.
Fletcher, did you really go unbroken on all four rounds squatting to a dynamax ball after rowing like that? Cause that is damned impressive.
I did as long as "unbroken" can mean that I never put the bar down or bent my elbows. I did stand there and take a few deep breaths a couple of times, but I didn't want to go through the trouble of dropping or racking the bar and then having to jerk it back up there again... I figured I was better off just gutting it out. I don't use Dynamax I go to hip crease... I'm 6'3'-6'4" (depending on if I stand up straight :-) so ass to ball is below ass to knees for me. I can feel the ROM. Damn, I'm thinking I need to video this one for you :-). Oh, I had a witness... Jeff here... Jeff, did I go @ 135 unbroken with full range of motion or what?

Fun workout, scaled down to 75 lbs, probably should have done at least 95 lbs, but completed in 15:07
ReplyDeleteJeff you did 13 reps per round right?
DeleteJeff, dude you're killing it. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, correct. since I went lighter on weight, I took the rep count up to 13. Thanks for the reminder!!
