Oly PR Day

Hang Power Clean 3-3-3-3-3
Front Squat 2-2-2-2-2
Squat Clean 1-1-1-1-1

  1. Guys if you are new to Oly lifting this kind of progression can yield PRs on the clean. I would recommend working you way up to a 3 rep max on the HPC, then working up to a front squat double that is roughly 15 pounds heavier than your clean, then work up and see if you can PR by 2.5 or 5 pounds on the clean.

    I was too sore today to go for a PR, but I did get a better clean than the last time we went heavy.

    Almost got 245 but just decided to call it because I am so damn sore from the 5 rounds of mayhem yesterday.

  2. Nicely done Justin. Man, I always get frustrated by my back injury when I see numbers like this, because I know I could give you a run for your money. Damn it! I'll never be able to go heavy again, but I can go kinda heavy and do more reps.

    Jeff has a herniated disk and Brett also has back problems, so we're all old and broken. Josh probably has something wrong too LOL.
