Bulger

  1. Myles: Very cool indeed. Also, makes you realize how freaking strong Greg Amundsen is with that crazy 185# pullup.

Chas: Great times lately. Those are some crazy fast burpees for a tall guy.

Working through hurt left arm. It is slowing me down but going ahead. I did dead hang chest to bar through 8 and then finished with regular dead hangs. ROM sucked on HSPS.

  2. Way to fight Justin. I didn't get Chas' time either... freaking awesome.

Had some friends over for dinner the other night, I was drinking beer out in the garage gym with the guy who is also a CFer and he asked me how many ring dips I can do, I said "I think I can do about 20 unbroken" he said "no way" so I got up in them thar rings and busted out 23 cold. Then proceeded to finish my adult beverage. PR. I'll do Bulger later on...HSPU's are gonna beat my ass.

  3. TT 29:13 went like hell

    Fletcherisms:

I did HSPU's to Abmat, I always do though.. but I squish my head down on it so I am going maybe 1 1/2" from the floor. All the way down makes the shoulder burn. Last two rounds I widened my hands for the first time EVER and I got all 7 unbroken even though I could hardly breathe. Maybe that's been my problem all along, I have long arms and I had a narrow stance. Sure felt more normal with wider stance, but still was hard as it should be.

Scaled to 100 lbs for the FS cos my back, felt it twinge in round 8, finished the set, then rounds 9 and 10 I did 20 air squats instead, time suck. Too bad, cos I used to love FS's. Things change.

Also, my buddy Sean who got me into CF two years ago has been doing CF for 3+ years and is in great shape... but recently he was doing heavy Fran and felt a twinge in the heavy thrusters, then it got worse, long story short he had an MRI today and he could have 3 herniated disks. He's been in a lot of pain lately, to the point of just sitting there moaning in pain. Gotta be careful boys, don't end up like us :-( He's pushing 40 and I'll be 389 in two months. We ain't kids anymore but I sure feel like one.

  4. Good work boys. I did 150m rows and PUs on rings so I'd have room to pull through and match a CTB. All FS sets were unbroken. HSPUs were wicked; was mostly doing 3-2-2. Fletcher, I also found them more doable w/ a wider stance. Only problem for me today was that my hands were slipping they were so sweaty.

  5. I got a fat DNF last night. My right ankle is messed up and couldn't run or jump up to the pullup bar. Pretty much just a big vag.
