I did 5, 500M rowing sprints, then quickly, while gasping desperately for air and with a right leg cramp, got my biking shoes and helmet on and then did biking sprints. I measured my street beforehand with a biking computer set in metric mode, and little did I know that from the bottom of my driveway to the end of my street and back it is exactly 1,000M.
Rowing went:
(1:43.6 average across the 5) 1:41.9, 1:40.0, 1:44.4, 1:46.0, 1:45.8
(gasp gasp, put on shoes and helmet, jump on bike, then)
2:09, 2:02, 1:59, 1:59, 1:56
First couple were slower because of rowing death syndrome.
Going to be out of town Sat-Mon, so may or may not do WODs.
So I tried to do this with rows and muscle ups. Idea being go for negative split on the rows and attempt consecutive muscle ups in between(just one attempt per round) 1:59/1:57/1:55/1:53/1:52/1:50/fail 1/2/2/1/1/2/2.5so close Basically was holding a 1:47 split for about a minute in round 7 and rowed myself into complete metabolic derangement, called it a week.
Pretty cool now that I can hang my ring up high enough to swing into the next one. my goal is to get 5 in a row in the next two weeks.
Hey man, what do you mean here by "negative split"... and do you mean you were just trying a single muscle up after resting two minutes, then resting two more minutes, then getting back on the rower?
I got three new big bad ATVs (I only own one, buddy loaned me other two) that I am taking the family to the mountains with tomorrow through Monday. Ya buddy.
By negative split I meant trying to make each round faster than the prior. On muscle ups, my goal was to make one attempt to get three in a row(games style without releasing) during the single two minute rest period.
This was cruel.
