HPC SU BEX

17 comments:

  1. Morey: Nice time on the ten mile in the heat!

    WODoers: Did 30 muscle ups for time. 9:13 PR.
    I guess I can move on now that I finally went sub 10 at a pleasantly plump 202#s.

    Is rouge the best place to get bumpers? It is now time for me to move out of the gym and into the garage.

  2. Witchita Falls Weight Lifting is where I've gone lately. Their shipping is faster.

  3. 21-18-15-12-9-6 and 3 rep rounds of:
    Power clean, 95lbs
    Sit-ups
    Back extensions

    Jacob 10:08 (135lbs)

    Next time with a little bit of yelling I think I could go sub 10 min, but I was all by my lonesome on this one.

  4. Two things.

    Jacob: Do you have a link to their website. I keep getting redirected to pendalay barbells.

    Myles: How is this for a recovery meal 30 miutes after workout.

    4 eggs scrable in a table spoon of olive oil and a tomato or an apple.

  5. Justin - I got most of mine from Muscle Driver USA, I got the Hi-Temp ones, but it looks like they are discontinuing them. You can still get a pair of 15 pounders for $39 which includes shipping http://www.muscledriverusa.com/hibupl.html

    Otherwise yah, Rogue has good deals too but I'm sure Myles and Jacob know of better places, I bought from MDUSA and Rogue though. Regardless of where you get your bumpers, it is AWESOME being able to workout right here in my own garage, especially with having the two little ones. If I could I would belong to a CF Affiliate so I could do group WODs and have a trainer all the time, but time is of the essence for me so I do it at home. Going to hit this WOD right now!

  6. WODoers: This one was fun, but it made the old forearms beg for mercy. As Rx'd no 135# for me this time: 9:28

  7. Justin, I am indeed impressed! I couldn't have taken more than 90 seconds total accumulative rest, so I guess I was just slower during my reps? situps were abmat with feet anchored and "ankles to assholes" (this is how I always do them, tucking the ankles tight to the ass means you cannot use your hip flexors, isolates the abs muscles), and back extensions were the "snaking" kind shown in the video, not hip extensions (also my default, and I find the snaking BE's to be a lot harder and more effective).

    TT = 13:12. Good WOD!

    Chelle and I went to the Bronco game yesterday to witness that upset of the Cowboys. What an awesome game! We had a limo ride to a gourmet catered tailgate party, amazing... and all free courtesy of Dell computer corp. Throat is still raw from screaming! Later.

  9. This one sucked. Set it up at my gym and did the Back extentions off of a ball with my legs locked on a squat bar. Sit-up on floor with feet locked under bar. 95# power cleans. Power cleans hurt me. Did them as follows 21-18-9-6-3. BAsically skipped the 15 & 12 reps because I could already feel the strain on my shoulder. 25:10 with skipping those rounds. Could only do 3 to 4 reps of cleans at a time after the first 10 in the round of 21.

  10. Justin, you got the right site. They just changed the name, it's where I go for my stuff now.

  11. Did this one last night. Was pissed off from work so I decided to punish myself with the 135#'s, but did hang cleans, not from floor.

    TT = 13:43

    21, 18, 15 were the toughest, but things got flying after I hit the round of 12.

    Also did some rope jumping after.

    300 to "warm up"
    50 DU's in 35 seconds, skipped the alternating catch-up single in between. Hit my first 39 straight. Completely gassed after.

    Worked on some hand stands against the wall.

  12. Mike - Nice, take out your aggressions in the gym. That's a healthy to deal with it man!

  13. Hey, am I the only one that did power cleans from the floor, as RX'd or what? 135 lbs though, that's macho. Actually, after this WOD I thought to myself that I should have upped the weight on the power cleans to 115 to spank those traps more. 95 lb power cleans are pretty easy strength wise, but doing 84 of them did wind the heck outta me.

  14. Dammit Justin, that means you REALLY kicked my ass. I was hoping that you did HPC's (since that's what the post was called) so I could justify getting whooped so bad. Good job man. I don't know how I could get that done in under 10 cos' I smoked that one pretty good as it was. Poop!!!

  15. Yep Fletcher I too went from the floor with 135lbs.
