Chris: Good job on keeping up man. Persistance is the key to this deal.
WODoers:
Went to an affiliate with Pickett yesterday morning. They had us warm up with the minutes of pull-ups work out. I got 15 rounds and 9 and a big chunk of my left had missing thanks to a piece of shit bar. Then we did 5 rounds of the bear complex with plenty of rest as a team. The trainer said he had never seen anybody do a round with more than 85# and good form, so Pickett and I threw down 135# in the last round. It was a good work out and pretty darn fun to go some where with 15 or so like minded people. Also,Wyoming went well represented in Denver.
Also, I think hell froze over a tiny bit when after round ten and everyone in the class was done with their pullups the trainer used me as an example to teach the class how butterfly kipping pullups are suppossed to be dones. 22 months ago I never would have thunk it.
Thanks Justin, I can't get enough of this stuff. Sounds like you had a kick ass time at the affiliate. Craig and I were just discussing the butterfly kip last week. Any advice on technique? Justin/Jacob?? Tomorrow looks interesting not sure on a sub for the rope climb.
I just ordered a GHD from Yukon Fitness, not top of the line but it will get the job done. 200 bucks not bad at all. Still need to get me a rower. Hopefully soon.
I did this one last night. Stepped off my 50m at 50 paces. Also did a 1 mile warm-up on the treadmill with th 35# chain links draped over the shoulders (14:35).
TT = 15:48
Was hoping for sub-15, but didn't make it. Quads are sore as shit the day after.
TT: 12:10
ReplyDeleteThat's enough situps for me this cycle.
Peace out.
