Set the damper at 3, cause when you are fat fucker like me, the lower the damper the harder it is. Set my pace boat at 2:03 on the 500 split and I beat him by ten seconds.
Bad news for me. My left knee is twice as big as my right one, and I cannot straighten or bend it all the way.
I don't even know what happened, other than lots of heavy thrusters and cleans in Linda the other day. It's just jacked up. I am actually on hold right now making an appointment with my orthopedists. I had my knee "redone" in July of 1998 and Dr. Parker (Colorado Avalanche team physician, then, and still now) said "you may have to have some work done in about 10 years." We'll see... hopefully the swelling will just go down and I'll be back, but it is frustrating. It is predictable when I run or snowboard, or anything twisty like racquetball, but then sometimes it just happens like this episode, although this episode is particularly bad. I'm limping around.
27:12(pr) No significant milestones here. I just don't do enough running to get any better at it I guess. Maybe some day I'll get a rower and give that a go.

PR for 5K row is 18:38, next goal is 18:30 which would mean a 1:51 split average. Next time.
ReplyDeleteJustin, nice PR dude!! PRs = getting younger.
Awesome row Craig!
ReplyDeleteI didn't row! Just saying what my PR and goal is. My knee is jacked up. I am hobbled!
ReplyDelete5K row 18:40
ReplyDeleteI shut it down the last 100 to make Fletcher look good ;)
Chas, beat me! beat me! I know you will, then I will set a new PR. That's how we roll.

Hell yeah Chas!

Just rowed as I watched TV.
I had a friend flying through last night, so I subbed dinner and drinks for the 5k last night. And, she flew back home to MT this morning.
ReplyDeleteThe gym finally got a real C2 rower!! It felt so much smoother than that water paddle-wheel one they used to have. So, I did 2.5k row and 2.5k run.
2.5k row - 12:06 (damper at 5)
2.5k run - 13:14
Total - just under 26
Have a good one. Later fellas.
5k run on treadmill, first run on a treadmill in awhile, or first run since the 12 miler a couple weeks ago. This sucked today.
