  1. It's not the official name of the WOD, but I thought it was appropriate. This girl competed and finished 55th in last years games. Less than a year later she died from cancer. Put's things in perspective, enjoy life while you can.

I thought this was a kick ass WOD until the burpees kicked in. I don't know what it is about those damn things. Craig, you and your wife are some dedicated x-fitter's. Way to crank those burpees out.

  2. Good job Chris! I was just looking at her blog, she had been posting up til about 5 weeks ago, quite coherently might I add. Her first chemo treatment was like 3/10. they must have found the cancer late? Wow.. chilling.

We're taking little Luci bass fishing from a boat today. Then this PM might head to CF Redding for a WOD. Tomorrow AM we head to the coast (we are about 3 hours inland in Redding, not the "beachy" type of California you envision). So can't do AMWAP yet Chazzy Chazzelton! Maybe tomorrow! See ya guys.

  3. WODoers: Got the half marathon to do on June 26th, so going to be mixing up my training a little bit. This morning I did run 30 minutes then 100 body squats in 3:20 then run back in 28:26.

I checked the distance in my vehicle and I really hope the odomedter is fucked up. I thought I was going at a decent pace, but it registered only 2.9 miles. That means I have a fuck load of work to do get my goal of sub 2 hours, which essentialy requires a 9 minute mile pace for the entire race.

I am going to double check the course with my gps tonight.

  4. Craig, you come to CA and don't come see Weavy?

Chris that is one good time today's WOD, take pride, that WOD will put a hurt on a lot of folks.

Myles and I Snatched heavy yesterday. I hit 145 for 3 but they were a little ugly, 140 looked a lot better. It has been my goal to do bodyweight Snatch which is right around there. Now I guess next goal is 165.
I look forward to doing today's wod but I had bodywork today, it is soooo helpful, and very necessary. The wind is blowing here today like Wyoming, hard and gusty.
Now get back to your hotel room burpees Craig.

  5. Hello all,

Just got to Denver and Sean was nice enough to pick me up from the airport and man is Fletchers place nice! Truely beautiful to say the least. To top it off I already had a chance to break in his garage gym and busted out a few little WOD's today. I was feeling quick and tough today, but not strong. Oh well maybe it's the jet lag talking?

    WOD #1
    For time:
    1400m Run

    Jacob 4:25-4:26'ish (On a track)

I think I was on pace to break my fastest mile time of 5:12, but it would have been close.

    WOD #2
Floor to over head, Max weight:

    Jacob 225lbs (Clean and Jerk)

Was able to clean 235lbs, but couldn't jerk it.

    WOD #3

    40 Pull-ups
    50 Kettlebell swings, 1.5 poods

    Jacob 10:02

Posted a video of the WOD at Fletchers place, his clock rules!

  6. Awesome times Jacob and Chris. I wasn't anywhere near you two, but I was happy with my time.

    As Rx'ed, TT = 25:38

Hit the burpees just before the 17 minute mark. Kind of depressing now that I see almost 1/3 of my time was spent on burpees.

    Later fellas.

  9. Jacob that was pretty cool sitting out here in California watching you WOD at my house. Nice! Sub 10 is rock star. I finally found someone that posted a faster Filthy 50 time than you, some guy named Paul that used to WOD at CrossFit Redding had 15:21 up on the board. He is a former Army Ranger commander who went back into the forces.

We are going to CrossFit Redding for a group WOD for the 9 AM class with my cousin Gary. That will be my first group WOD at an affiliate! I went by yesterday and watched Gary do Isabel in 3:23 (30 135lb power snatches). I thought that was a pretty good time for a 42 year old dude who has been CrossFitting for 4 months. I was yelling in his ear plenty. He then did Grace immediately after (WOD was actually "IsaGrace").

Weaver, sorry I can't make it. That's like 4 or 5 hours each way and we have a jammed schedule and two babies.

Today we are all headed to the coast for 2 days, that should be cool if it isn't dumping rain the entire time. Damn, I can still feel those burpees, and today is the first day my abs weren't damn sore from 100 GHDs on saturday. I was doing them both hands to the floor. There's nothing quite like a lot of GHD's for the belly.
