Clean and Jerk 1's

Chelle set a PR today for unbroken deadhang pullups. She got 4, clean!! Luci wouldn't cheer though... she clams up when the camera is running. This was right after Chel did Kelly in 24:27, 24 seconds longer than her PR...

  1. New idea for me since I can't do heavy Oly: I will have like metcon subs for each Oly WOD and track them in a spreadsheet. Moves will emulate Oly lifts.

    Today I learned how very very much harder true honest HSPU's are than HSPU's are to AbMat. 3X harder for me.... at least. That last two inches makes all the difference. Reason I am saying this is traditionally I rarely did full ROM for fear of my shoulder wigging out.

    4 rounds for time:
    Row 500M (emulates clean sort of)
    10 honest HSPU's (emulates press)
    10 DB C and J's with 40 lb CBs

    First two rounds were true HSPU's, but in round 2 I was doing 1 at a time with a good 10-15 seconds in between... so rounds 3 and 4 I went to AbMat to keep my heart pumping. I'll get better at these.

    TT 20:49 - should be able to do this in 19 or so when I get better at HSPU's.

  2. All DB C&J's the DBs have to touch the floor, and elbows have to lock out. Just keeping it real.

  3. No bumbers so went for max rep shoulder press. Got 167 with my new oly lifitng form. Man o man does it suck to lose 20 pounds off a pr by learing new form, but its what I have to do to save my shoulder and improve the oly stuff.

  4. Did this as the second half of a double today, after the db 5's.

    135, 155, 175, 185, 195f, 195f

    Damn cleans are still stuck.
