Tabata Something Else

  1. Fletcher: I think your extra weight makes you a faster rower. My sprint times were way faster when I weighed 220#s. Also, your 250# hang power clean is way, way, way more impressive that my full squat clean. If you can hang power clean 250 then you should have be able to easily full squat clean at least 300.

    WODoers:

    I am going off the mainsite for two months. I may hit a couple of metcons along the way, but I am going to post here so I can keept track of training. Goal is to improve olympic lifts 15% and run sub 2 hour half marathon. So June 15th snatch 212# and clean and jerk 287# then June 18th run 13.1 miles in under two hours.

    Today I based my work out on Josh Everett's training for the Oly Crossfit Competition. About 20 minutes into it I remembered I am not Josh Everett!

    Work up to 3 sets of three Hang Power Snatch 115#.

    Try to do 5 sets of 5 155# overhead squat. Went more like 3,2,3,1

    Try to do 5 sets of 3 250 pound front squats. Went more like 3,3,3 done.

    50# band pull ups 3x5
    50# band ring dips 3x5

    3x10 ghd and back ex

    Pullups 58
    Pushups 75
    Situps 89
    Squats 113

    Total = 335, seven off of my PR.

  3. Hey men - rested yesterday. Made this up today with my buddy Ken, his 3rd CF WOD. He was hurtin, and who can blame him?

    Pushups 99 (PR for this individual move)
    Pullups 45 (sucked, did them after pushups so Ken could use the pullup bar, last time was 61)
    Situps 82 (damn those things were slow!)
    Squats 121 (PR on squats)

    Total = 347, PR is 350. Damn it. Doing pushups first messed me up I think

  4. Oh... during warmups I did a 500M sprint and got 1:31.1 which is a PR by 1 second. The thing about this, just like the 2K Row is that I am pretty sure I could go faster, I think AGAIN I paced too much early. Problem is, if you sell out early, you gas. Rowing is a strategic thing...

  5. What's up fellas? We just got back from the case study competition in Seattle on Monday afternoon. We didn't place, but it was a great experience and I think that had any of my team done one of these before we would've been in the finals. We ended up trying to cover way to much material within 15 minutes when we should've just stuck to what we knew best. Anyway,

    Pullups - 40
    Pushups - 82
    Sit-ups - 87
    Squats - 140

    Total = 349

    Also warmed up with a 1 mile jog. Need to get better at running still. Didn't want to do DL's right after this so, I'll try to double up tomorrow. Later fellas.
