  1. Hey guys first WOD since the DL's. I'm having a bad stretch with my health these days. I think it's all blood pressure related, but it really sucks feeling like I do.

Today I got a big PMFR on this one by almost 3 minutes. This was one of the first WOD's I did after completing physical therapy on the shoulder. It's good to see I'm improving. I know my time won't be anywhere near you guys for rowing but I was still happy with my time.

Subbed 100 SDHP's for the row, everything else RX'd.

    TT: 9:18

    Later fellas

  2. TT = 8:25

PR by 10secs, all of it on the row 3:27 vs 3:36 (I think) last time. My new weekend WOD warmup: lax practice w/ my 8yo. Seems to work pretty well.

  3. Hey guys, good job! Chris are you going to be OK dude? Is it seriously bad high BP?

I gameplanned this one as follows to get a sub 8.

Row @ 1:51 pace (WAY slower than normal, but the rower sucks the life outta you), then @ 4 minutes be on the bar and get the thrusters done by 6 minutes, then you get 2 minutes to do 30 pullups... I don't often gameplan a WOD, but as I thought about this one and last time I got 8:40 I thought "that rowing must have wrecked me last time, I can shave a minute off of that time"

TT 7:40, PR by a full minute.

On the bar doing thrusters at 7:55 (didn't rest hardly after rowing, 1:51 pace didn't call for it), then did 20/10/10/10 thrusters, went into pullups ahead of schedule went 10/5/5/3/3/4 on pullups. I was utterly winded with Fran throat at the end.

Did a nice loooong warmup too, including CFWUx3 and some ballistic/mobility stuff.

Off to California for a 3 1/2 day work trip on the beach in Laguna Beach. Gonna get the work dudes to do that bunch of 100M sprints and 50 reps BW stuff from a week ago. In the sand too. That'll hurt.Yahoo!

  5. Ya I thought you'd like that beatdown. Just don't row so hard then you can smoke the thrusters. My breaks during those were like 5 seconds then back on the bar. Row a 1:43 split and now way.

I see Irvine is 25 mins from where I am staying. I won't have a car though. Do you want to meet up Monday night for some drinks? I'd love that.

Come on down to the Sand and Surf resort in Laguna. Call me 303-881-2774. OR.. if you are up for an early AM WOD Tuesday we can do that too, or both. Let me know. Tuesday we are all going golfing 2nd half of the day including free beers from vendors all day, then an appreciation dinner, so we'll all be jacked that night and Wed AM, but not me of course, I'm a CrossFit health nut. Oh... :-)

  6. Good point on the thrusters. I only rested about 10secs after the row, and I think mine were about 15-15-10-10, but breaks were longer than yours. It's the pullups that really killed me though. When I got to them, the bar was just laughing at me.

I'll have a car in CA. I get in to Long Beach at about 4:30 Monday, so that night works perfectly. By then I'll know about my Tuesday morning; I might be starting early so we'll see about the WOD.

I'll give you a ring when I get to my hotel Monday. My cell is 203-984-9546.

  7. I must have done something doing the DL's last week, because my neck/back have been screwed up ever since. I wasn't able to move my head side-to-side Thursday or Friday, but felt better Saturday morning. So, I did this one on Saturday, but haven't had a good internet connection to post.

    Subbed WB's for thrusters, TT = 10:18

Kind of lost some steam finishing up the PU's once I saw I was above 10 minutes. Oh well, hopefully this comes around again soon.
