  2. I gamed this one to try and give me a couple extra seconds of rest in between. It worked, kept 15's throughout.

Love the quote Justin. Very appropriate for this WOD.

  3. I'm at a hotel in Texas, really hot down here. Gonna do this one in the AM. What dumbbell sub do you think is fair? 30 lbs? 35? You get better leverage with a bar then you do with standalone DBs, so I was thinking 30?

  4. I'm here dudes. Sorry for the absence, but power was out from Saturday night until late today. We're all fine, and after a LONG shower I'm back from going feral. And I really appreciate your thoughts and apologize for going MIA.

What a fucking mess. Our town was about 90% out of power, with trees everywhere. My one consolation is that one of my neighbor's (across the street) oak trees came down across the road, but didn't destroy my front fence because it took out the power lines instead and got hung up on them. That alone took three days for the town to clean up. I'm currently negotiating control of the tree for firewood with said neighbor; given that I'm bigger than him, and I have a chainsaw, I like my chances.

Everything's still all fubar but at least we're back on line. They punted on school and won't start until next week.

I think the big problem is that the coast of CT got so flooded that the state had to dedicate a lot of resources in that direction. It sounds like a lot of people waterside won't have power again until some time next week. Amazingly, with all the stories about what happened in NJ and NY, CT got hit the hardest in that respect; more than a third of the state's population was knocked out as of yesterday. By me most towns were closer to 80%-100%.

Just from a Cat 1 storm. Ridiculous. And capricious - my parents have been out at the beach on Long Island, and although they got evacuated on Saturday, they were back at the beach, with power, and with the boat my dad had left in the bay unscathed, by Monday morning. Riddle me that.

Anyway, another one's churning its way across the Atlantic.

  5. Chas that is crazy. Post some pictures if you have em. Glad you and yours are safe.

I was on a 3 day business trip and I didn't WOD at all. Up too late and early every day and indulgent pigging out and expense account bar tabs.
