  3. I am signed up for the open to help out our local gym score well as an affiliate. I am also still sick as shit and having a lovely allergic reaction in my groin area to anti-biotics. That said I did a five minute practice round of this this morning. I got 42 and could not breathe at all.

    The big problem with this is there is a ton of room to cheat on full extension of the arm. I can easily get an extra three or four inches up just by extending my shoulder. I think there will be lots of cheaters on this one.

    I will do my score for the open tomorrow after oly lifting and then may hit it again Saturday morning. I sure hope the doc can find me some anti biotics that don't cause an allergic reaction.

  4. Man I am still really sore from Angie. I turned 40 2 months ago and now I am suddenly an old man who can't recover.

    I took a photo of my reach but my iPod won't send email right now. So anyway I stretched as far as I could reach without my heels coming off of the ground (but my shoulders and reach were maxed out) and the target I had was my rings bar... which is about 8 1/2" beyond my max reach. So I just used that and jumped a little higher.

    76 reps!!

    Only 20-30 seconds of rest total throughout, if that. I can't believe the main site freaks because I felt like I crushed this. I was STRICT about ROM on the top and the bottom, actually had to look up to be sure I touched the bar with each jump. This wasted me. Before I did the WOD I thought "then I'll just finish to 100" but I was a mess... it put me on my ass for a few minutes before I could walk away. We are off to Aspen for 4 days. You might not see me here until Tuesday. But I will be very active up there!

  5. Welcome to my world Craig, I turn 42 in July. I never use to believe that once you turn 40 your body reacts differently, but it sure as hell does.

    76 is a great number to shoot for. I don't think I have the wind to beat it but we'll see.

  6. Ok, after my last piece of crap I actually watched the WOD demo to make sure I did the burpee as RX'd. This was a killer!! I am still sweating as I type this but proud of my effort and strict ROM.
    7 minutes 84 reps. I'm stoked and feeling it!

  7. I had you in my sights Craig, but I came up just short. I used my PU bar as my target, it's about 8-9" out of my reach.

    Wy was to kick ass. This one had me gasping for air. I can feel my lungs burning now. Justin hope you feel better man.

  8. BTW, my target was 7" above my reach which was my ceiling in the basement. I actually missed touching 3x and didn't count those reps (UGH). As to getting old, I'm 41 and I feel great for what I've put my body through. I have shoulder issues, a messed up back, strained tendons everywhere, neck issues and now since tweaking my ankle I get a sharp shooting pain every now and then. I also wake up every morning w/a stiff back and general soreness, but yet I can still kick it in the gym. I am w/Fletch as I know it all means I'm just very active and always have been. I'm riding what God gave me into the earth! Peace!

  9. Did a jump rope version of Griff before doing this one. Don't think that really effected me much as I haven't been keeping up on my burpees - aka, the devil's excercise.

    7 minutes = 52 reps

  10. Snatched 191#s pr. Lungs are getting better but could not breathe for burpees. Got 67. Wanted to retry today, but I just don't get any air when I breathe yet, so whats the point. Nice work fellas.

  12. Ended up with 76. Set it to the minimum of 6 in., but prob did more like 7.
