Wyoming Affilaite Cup Wod 1

4 comments:

  1. Competing in my first crossfit competition this weekedn at the Wyoming Affiliate Cup in Cheyennne. http://www.facebook.com/events/243945105679460/

We did training runs on the first wod yesterday and today.

    Row 500m
35 up and over box jumps
    25 225# deadlifts
    15 TTB
    5 Wall walks

Yesterday, we tried it out with 97% effort on the rows and 20" box jumps. That was a very very dumb thing to do. Rowed 1:33 and spent the rest of the wod trying not to die. Today rowed a 1:55 pace and went better, but did the box jumps to 24" and that slowed me down. Also, lower back fried and unable to do the deads today, so that was slow too. It is a great wod. 8:05 yesterday and a very sore and frozen 8:55 today. I think you guys would like this wod a lot. You can determine just how much you feel like dying by how fast you decide to row.

  2. Way to go Kook!

Just checking out the website on Facebook. Are you doing training runs at the house before the competitions to get a feel for the WODs? Who is on your team?

  3. Mike,

It is pretty cool. I am doing training runs at home and at the gym www.crossfitjh.com Ryan Hudson, my oly coach is on the team along with two girls and two other guys from the gym I just met.

It is a lot of fun trying to figure out who will do what wod and the order and all the strategy. Also, it focuses the brain and makes things like eating right and drinking less beer easier.

  4. Did weighted pullups today. Got 100 for sure and then just couldn't get 105. Pretty sure a clear chin over bar 100#s is a pr. Funny how sometimes you have to look back and realize your standards on the movements just were not correct.
