Open 13.5

Won't be too hard for us, we won't make it out of the first round!

  1. My arm is jacked. It hurts worse when I bend my arm in at 90 degrees and then rotate my hand towards me, as if to eat with a fork and dig into something below.

    Basic things like typing, loading and unloading my son from the car, carrying something... it all hurts. I guess I'll be doing squats, lunges, and core work, etc. for a while. Need to get the road bike out of the basement, it's starting to get warmer!

  2. I am going to retry this tomorrow. I broke the second round of thrusters 11 and 4 when I really did not need too,I wussed. And I just was not moving really good today. So going to hit some mobility toninght. My total was a completely pathetic 54. Since I am never going to make the 90 at four minutes I am going to go for another 4 minutes if I make it to 60 tomorrow and that should suck plenty!

  3. Mental Toughness. That is something that this little wod showed me I need to work on. I really improved on my time from yesterday, cause I went 14 and 1 on the first set of CTB. I knew the second second set would be slow as shit no matter what, so I went as fast as I could on the first. I got to 65 reps in 4 minutes, which is a really nice improvement for me. I was completely fucking shot, but I took four or five deep breathes and banged out another 4 thrusters, then my world came apart and I quit my plan to go for another 4 minutes. I just couldn't handle the thought of doing even one more thruster and I pussed hard. I know I could have done more by I wanted to do another thruster like I want cut off a toe with a rusty butter knife.

    That is the difference. I guarantee all of the top competitors felt like that at some point, but they all found a way to keep moving. Incredibile their scores are!!!
