  1. I was actually looking forward to this WOD. I need to work on all of these stricts movements. It was a tough WOD. This is also the first WOD that I did the HSPUs

  3. Dave, nice work! That is bad ass to grind that out and a damn impressive time too.

    I started this one and it was clear after the last cycle that it would not happen, so I quit. I think I might(emphasis on might) be able to do this but I would have to be well rested as opposed to debilitatingly sore from hard cindy, heavy snatches and the stupid squat wod. You know it is going to suck when your abs hurt like hell from a pullup.

    I need to add these strict movements back into my warm up, my HSPs are basically gone for all intents and purposes.

  4. Thanks guys. I knew I could do the pull-ups. When I did regular Cindy (instead of hard) a few days ago, I did 85 strict pull-ups. I also warm up with strict pull-ups. What I am most happy about this WOD was the HSPUs I don't think I have ever done those in a WOD before. I usually scale those to something else. I tried 2 before the WOD to see if I could do them. Perfect form. I think they went 5+3+2, 4+4+2, 4+2+2+2.

  5. Wow Dave, after my attempt at this I am even MORE impressed. I will give myself a note here for next time, my whole body is spanked big time and I did Hard Cindy just yesterday, after being wasted by all those squats, GHDs, snatches, etc.

    12:10 went the first round, RX'd pure, head to floor on HSPUs, ring dips with straight legs not bending forward. Strict push-ups were VERY hard with elbows at sides (as described in the comments) and feet together, etc. Second round was retarded... took 15:42. Everything hurt, every rep of every move was a battle. So 27:52 for two rounds... and I called it good. Just too sore to continue man. At least I have a mark to refer to if this comes up again. I COULD HAVE, in theory, finished this, but it wouldn't have been a good idea. I want to go for the DL/GHD WOD tomorrow maybe, but that one I think I'll have to limit to 7 or 8 rounds because of my abs. We'll see if I even get that far.

    Started my challenge at 227.2 on 1/2, and I weighed in this AM at 219.0. 8.2 lbs in 6 days. raised calories from 2,000 to 2,300 yesterday. 2,000 isn't enough for this guy. Also had a beer last night and two glasses of wine. I needed to decompress. Pure paleo besides the alcohol for several days. Had lettuce, rotisserie chicken, mango, red pepper, peanut, mint, onion wraps for dinner.
