OHS, Row 1K, Ring Dips, all try for PRs

  1. Did this this AM, STILL sore from Murph, and yesterday did 100LPU's and 50 SC's, so my body was hurting. Nonetheless, I got me a PR on at least one of these things.

For the OHS, I did sets of 3, got to 155 and knee started bugging me, but strength wise there was still gas in the tank. I stopped there to play it safe.

For the 1K row, my previous PR was 3:24.3, today I went with the strategy of trying to hold about a 1:40 for the first 500M (500M PR is 1:29.7 so I left room for the creeper effect), and then just see what happens. Turns out I got a 3:22.0, PR! 1:41 average split time. That was a good 30 minutes ago, and I am still coughing from it.

Then came the Ring Dips, which I was just too sore to excel at. I tried twice... first time went 22 reps, second time I pussed out mentally and stopped at 18 from the pain, not because I couldn't do more strength wise, but just because I quit from the pain. That was weak.

Woke up at 4AM this morning so I was and am super strung out tired too.... rough morning, but got a PR that was 3 years old.

I wonder... could I ever get a sub 7:00 2K? I felt good this AM... today could have been that day.
