Two more fucking feet of snow last night, nice and wet & heavy too. One hr shoveling. Worked @ home rest of the day, then
WOD 2: Holbrook
For sprints, I did 15 lateral jumps over the thruster bar. Time-wise, I checked before I started, and my fastest was about 12 seconds, so it seemed a fitting sub. But probably less difficult than a full-out sprint, seeing that I made them all unbroken and my overall times didn't deteriorate much through the rounds. Anyway,
Times :48-:55
My breathing held up longer than I thought it would but then really caught up on me around #7.
Note to self: Do NOT eat the Diablo Adobo Pork burrito w/Haberno sauce for lunch before doing this WOD. I wasn't sure if I was going to shit my pants or puke. Both were in sight.
Tough WOD for me, Pull-ups on the new bar make a big difference. I'm not able to simply put my feet on the ground when I'm tired anymore. These got real hard in the later rounds. Chas I followed your lead with the 15 lateral jumps over the bar.
I did it RX'd, first time thrusting 115 in 9 months or so, gotta test out a little more weight at some point right?
:53 - 1:05, kept em' tight, I suck at running. Those breaks got shorter and shorter where I was blatantly still gasping at the start of the last two rounds but I just got mental and said F it. Dug really deep last round I was dying.
WODoers: This was tough wod. I subbed 21' shuttle run carrying dynamax and touching it down at the turn 6 runs per round.
ReplyDeleteFastest round was 39 seconds slowest was 1:28, nutted up for the last round and did everything unbroken for 59 seconds.
I started to get light headed and my ears started filling with water in round seven. Great wod, great way to honor a fallen soilder.
I might do this tomorrow, depends on what comes up on the site. Today is my last day in Vegas, so I did a hotel room WOD:
ReplyDelete3 rounds for time:
50 jump lunges alternating legs
50 squats
50 situps, shoulders all the way flat on the ground every time
Round 1: 5:35, Round 2: 5:22, Round 3: 5:45
TT 16:42
Jump lunges were burners!!! made the squats suck extra good.
Double WOD for me today.
