Med Ball Cleans and WB's

13 comments:

  1. Is a med ball clean basically just getting the ball from the ground up to shoulder level? Seems like an odd movement.

  2. Sorry Mieky, if that were the case then med ball cleans would be fun like power cleans are fun. A med ball clean is a full squat clean and they are evil at high reps, kinda like burpees. The first few are not so bad but then the suck factor starts to increase until the wod is over.

  5. I wish I didn't just watch that video, now I know I have to go to full hip extension with every rep. Chris, you suck. Here I go....

  6. Sorry Craig, these sucked just as bad for me. This was an awkward move for me, but nonetheless a lung burner. My legs are on fire.

  7. Whoa, legs were awful rubbery after the last couple of days...

I used a 1pd KB for all, cleans & thrusters

  8. Holy crap that was painful. First time I've felt I pushed 100% in a while now... just been feeling crappy a lot latley. Not today.

    TT 8:57, ROM Nazi too.

It was extremely painful on the legs, especially last round of cleans. Party at my crib tonight?

  10. WODoers: Not sure what happened here, but in less Mike steps up, its definietely party at my house. I did oly lifting on the rest day and rested yesterday. This went well for me. As rx'd full ROM 7:38. Made legs burn but lungs feel fine. I think it has a lot to do with my new and improved squat form. Off to Vegas for a couple days of R & R, so I see you boys again on Tuesday.

Oh yeah, just barely missed a 251# jerk on Wed.

  11. Very nice work dude. I coughed for 30 minutes after this. I looked it up and they call it something like short term exercise induced pneumonia cos the alveoli get fluid in them and you have to cough it out.

Good job!!! Party is at your house unless Mike goes nuts.

  12. Looks like it's Kook's house. I did this one Friday, but am just posting now.

    TT - 8:17

This was definitely tougher on the legs than expected. I did find a decent rhythm halfway through the second round though that helped. Anyway, going to hit a double today. Later fellas.

  13. Wow you guys, you posted some incredible times on this one. My legs are still unusually sore from this deceptive little WOD
