Fight Gone Bad

I use a whiteboard in my garage gym, then I take a phone pic of it when I'm done so I can then later put the info in my spreadsheet. Notice next to each move there is a "goal" number, an average I shot for throughout all three rounds. Didn't nail them all, and exceeded some too, but that's how I got over the 300 mark.

  1. Travis: Definitely didn't feel tough today.

    WODoers: FGB has got my number. Subbed 1.5 pood kb swing for row and got similar numbers. Next time I am writing down goals for each exercise in each round and I'm gonna get three hundred. Today 275.

  2. I was on a trip to Illinois and stopped off at the local Crossfit Fire gym and the wod on saturday just so happened to be FGB. I scored a 343 which I think is a pr? So no FGB today for me thanks, still feeling the legs.

  3. Subbed kb swings for rows. Set a goal for 20 reps for each move, almost got it.

    Round 1 100
    Round 2 97
    Round 3 95

    Total 292 (PR)

  4. WOD Crew,

    Sorry you haven't heard too much from me lately. I pulled my hamstring playing softball last Thursday night going for a triple (getting old sucks!). I iced it all weekend and took a lot of rest. It really seems to have helped (getting old sucks!).

    I rode my bike to the gym last night and did some rowing, and some elliptical-like roller skate stair climb machine. Also did 10 rounds of 10 dips/10 fit-ball sit-ups - untimed at about 75% intensity. I wasn't planning on doing much and was actually surprised at to how much I was able to do.

    I'm able to walk with hardly any pain today. So, hopefully I can take it easy this week picking up the intensity little by little and be back at it next week.

    Later fellas,

    Mike

  5. Yo Dudes - Still getting over a cold, did heavy deads two days ago, took yesterday off cos' my mom and sister are in town, went on a guided fly fishing adventure, super cool, caught 4 rainbow trout. Fly fishing is a little tricky!

    Today went hard with FGB, RX'd got a PR of 302 while coughing up green phlegm. My mom came out into the garage gym during warmup and took score. She was a little freaked out at the exertion level "are you sure it's OK to be doing this honey?" :-)

    Round 1 - 104, 2 = 99 3= 99

    Strategy: Last night reviwed previous PR and wrote down averages... then tried to do 1 more than the average per exercise throughout. Box jumps were the hardest.

    Averages today:

    Wall ball = 26
    SDHP = 22.3
    Box Jumps = 16
    Press = 22.3
    Row = 14.3

  6. Good strategy Fletcher. That's how you gots to do it. Green phlegm? probably good to get that shit out. Always good to here a mothers opinion on crossfit, shoulda got her in there for a round or 2>

  7. Hey Myles - Yah, now what I am going to try to do for max score next time is to maximize the ones that I had a little gas left on (wall ball barely, sumos and PP for sure). Box jumps destroy me for some reason, and you can only row so hard in a minute to get like 15 or so calories..... Hopefully I can get over the 310 mark next time doing it this way. Guys, forgot to say that I had the post WOD shakes for a while, haven't had that recently. So my new FGB motto will be "if you're not shaky when you're done you didn't try hard enough!" Let's get it on.

  8. I think I over did the first round. I went like 32 wall ball 30 sumo 25 box jumps and I couldn't even breath and stand at the same time by the time push press came up. I will try to add some strategery to FGB strategy. I had 114 in the first round and went to shit after that.
