L-Pull Ups and L rope climb

3rds

21 L-pull ups
3 15' rope climbs

Here's what I had for breakfast: Omega 3 Eggs with "stuff" in them, grapes, steak, avacadoes, and a smoothie

  1. WODoers:

Started round one at home on the rings and didn't have any chaulk, so couldn't hang onto rope after 21 pull ups. Taped up rope with athletic tape, works like chaulk to get rid of sweat, and took dogs on 10 minute walk and did it again.

subbed 5 ass on floor start to touching hand on 9' ceiling rope climbs for the 3 15' rope climbs. I think that is more than fair having had the opportunity to do both. Did all pull ups from the rings. Couldn't maintain perfect pike position throughout the WOD, but did my best.

    23:20 pr!

  2. Well not RX'd, no rope and towel pull-ups just aren't happening for me for some reason. Working on my pulls more than my pushes lately. I still busted my ass regardless.

  3. Where is everyone? Good job here dudes. I liked Chris' idea to sub DL's cos I want to get stronger on those for sure (can't even do twice BW) but I forgot that I just did 5-5-5-5-5 DL on Monday (forgot to log it too, wasn't much, like 335)... so today I whooped myself just fine by going:

    3 rounds
    L Pullups
500M row with damper on 10 (ouch)
    10 toes to bars

TT = 21:30. It was slow, I know, I struggled. More of a power WOD than a metcon 1/2 the time. Keeping the row time under 1:55 on round 3 was super hard. Alternated 7-7-7 of ring L pullups, bar overhand, bar underhand, just to give all parts of my lats and forearms an equal beating. Definitely couldn't hold really good pike throughout, almost held good puke though, does that count?

  4. Hey all,

    Did some overhead squats today.

    OHS 5-4-3-2-1-1-1

    130-150-160-170-180-190-200-210(Failed x2)

    Then FGB

    408 PR

Felt pretty good during FGB and wasn't too bad there after.

Felt like I was lifting the world on the OHS though.

  5. No rope here. This is a tough WOD on the forearms.
