Morey: I was just to lazy to change the set up this morning and it dropped down to 33 degrees last night and the windows were open in the garage, so that cold ass galvanized pipe was looking like a harsh alternative to the plastic rings.
I tried something I tought interesting today at the fire house, but don't know quite what it means, if anything at all.
Complete “Tabata Something Else” with Weighted Pull-ups-25lbs, Flat Bench-135lbs, Knees to Elbows and last but not least Thruster-65lbs and score your rep totals as you normally would, but upon completion rest 16 minutes and then attempt each movement in the same consecutive order for three max rep efforts, each followed by exactly 3 minutes of rest. Score your combined rep totals for these max rep efforts and then add both your “Heavy Tabata Something Else” rep total and your “Heavy Tabata Max Effort” total together and that will be your final score.
Compare you best effort “Tabata Something Else” score to your new “Heavy Tabata Something Else Max Effort” score and see how they match up. Hopefully your score will be on par with one and other.
I don’t know how to actually apply this information and output, but I thought it was a good WOD and kept me guessing up until the end. Not to mention I thought it was interesting how the numbers were, at least in my case, so close to one and other.
But you can give it a try and see how it goes, all you need is 70 minutes.

Rest exactly 16 minutes, then…
3 sets of each movement for max reps. (Each set followed exactly 3 minutes of rest.)
Myles, killer score dude. Jacob, you think too much :-)
Dudes, I'm not that good at this WOD. Woke up feeling tired today. I've only done this one other time and I beat that score by 6, so you can call my 350 a PR, but I was disappointed. Those last few sets just killed me on all but the situps. Squat score stayed steady but my legs were burning worse than they ever have, they were actually going numb. Tomorrow I might run 2x800 but cannot sprint, but maybe I will anyway... then I'll row 2x1K for time too.
Fletcher your wife is a beast... In a good way. I got to get my girlfriend in the mix so I can have my own steep hill run movies. If you know what I mean?
WODoers: Did ring pull-ups and they kinda crushed my pull up and push up out put.

I think 400 would be in danger if I had a pull up bar.
Kook, what happened to your bar?

What does it mean? Beats the hell out of me, but it was fun and I’ll do it again sometime and compare the results.
Hopefully you guys will check it out and try to help me decipher its applications in relation to output and general physical preparedness.
