Diane

Back to back limit days. 4 guys 40 geese. It was a great time!

  1. Mikey: Try fish oil. I am taking 3 1200mg tablets a day. I experimented up to 9, but my hands and feet went numb and my bp went down to 105 over 55. Now I'm at 115/60. Also, send me email with your twenty favorite foods, including fruits and veggies, and I will help you come up with a two week zone plan. Remeber, Dr. Sears invented the zone diet to combat his own family history of heart disease. Give it two weeks and I bet you and your doctor will be amazed.

    Fletcher: Happy Birthday.

WODoers: Felt my two days of travel and unmeasure zone "friendly" eating. My legs are still killing me from the 465 squats the other day, so I merged the last two wods.

    5rd
3 ass on floor to touch 9' ceiling rope climbs
    10 Hsps
    10 225 deadlifts
    10 Ring dips

    This was Hard! 23:48

I think the rope climbs are a fair sub cause you have to start in the l-position and then I have to jump past the bolts at the top to get to the ceiling. That gets really hard in the later rounds.

  2. Yo Justen You are posting bad ass numbers, maybe it's all the wild meat. My Dad sent me some Venison sausage from a few white tails he got a few weeks ago in Wisconsin. Damn I love that shit, makes me want to start hunting again. On another note I set a new goal last night. I don't know if you guys have seen the show Ninja Warrior. They have tryouts in August to get on the show, top 10 get to go to Japan and compete for 50k. I was watching it last night and it looks fun. Not nearly as tough as Crossfit. I will be posting my numbers later today. Oh and the ever famous Eva T came to workout on Sunday. She asked how much we would charge her. I said her money would be no good here so as long as I could workout with her. She's a bad ass. Will post later

  3. All DLs unbroken and easy enough. HSPUs were killing me today. Had good ROM on the first 21, then was reduced to doing negatives the last 15 or so.

TT: 27:44 no way PR for me today

Mikey: You can come off of BP meds pretty easily. But just like Safranski says, side effects are pretty notorious, people feel fatigued, some guys have troubles getting it up after being on them. Some BP meds will just make you cough. As I said, I would definately just get a good log of running BPs for a good week or so. I am pretty sure you will find them lower and in the normal range, systolic < 130 and diastolic < 90.

Myles: Get some pics w/ Eva!! Sweet!

Justin, those geese seem very unaware that Ye are going to kill them.

  5. I touched the top of my head on the AbMat for the HSPU's so not truly RX'd, but I'm getting better at these. I smoked the DL's. Last time I did this I got 10:23. Today I killed it, so I must be getting stronger.

    TT: 7:19 PMFR!!

    Later fellas

  6. I also smoked the DL's. Had to switch in with somebody at the gym tonight so it forced me to go quicker than I wanted.

    TT = 9:35

Thanks for the input on the bp medicine question. I've decided to give it a shot because the doc told me to. I hate it, but I'll give it a shot for a week. Then, we'll see.

  8. "Diane"

    21-15-9 reps of:
    Deadlift, 225lbs
    Handstand Push-ups

    Jacob 3:21 (235lbs) PR

    5 minute rest then...

    5 Rounds for time of:
    20 CTB Pull-up
    20 Ring Dips

    Jacob 10:38 Rx'd

    Just for kicks...

    Max reps of:
    Deadlift, 235lbs

    Jacob 28

Although my deadlift has only improved by 50lbs since starting crossfit I can honestly say there was a time when I could only do 15 reps of a 225lb deadlift before having to let go of the bar... and that was with straps. This WOD flew by and I felt great.
