WODoers: Until I get better at pushup, this WOD with not give me the desired metcon death it used to provide. Also, did pullups on rings, so they were slow too.

Overall good wod, and the big kips for the ring pull ups had my abs burning by the 3rd situp.
WODoers: Not to pull a Fletcher five post, but I "tried" to do some HSPs on parrellettes, at 30" apart like the games, and it was fucking humbling. I could barely hold a handstand let alone do a HSP.
Myles: You are the best in the group at HSPs, have you tried them at the games standard? I would be interested to see how you fair. I know you can do them, but I think they would suprise you at their difficulty.
I took a few days off to rest a minor shoulder injury. What a WOD to welcome me back. No PR's for me today. I had to fight my way through the pushups, shoulder still isn't 100%. Needless to say they slowed me down big time, but I got the work done.
What's up felas? I'm still in Montana for a couple more days. Worked out with the high school wrestling team again Tuesday and did some running in the gym. Then, today, I have to split some wood for Mama J and think I'll do some running on her treadmill.
I bought my Ma a Wii for Christmas. She also got herself the Wii Fitness board and has worked out on it 4 days in a row now. I'm totally stoked about it and glad she has found something she can do from home and enjoys.
Anyway, later fellas, and have a good New Year's Eve.
I got to the gym on 3 hours sleep, 5 a.m. had to train some of our local sheriffs, then 6 am a client and I did angie, he was just getting over a cold so he did half. I gave it about 80% finished at 16:20. Justin I do the HSPU on the paralettes every once in a while. It really forces you to go through the full range of motion. Think of it like this Regular HSPU are like shoulder pressing weight and only going to the top of your head. The Parallete HSPu are like doing the full shoulder press. Jacob that is one fast time man way to crush it. You are on your way to be ready for those games, you are going to do well. Keep lifting heavy.
Mike Got to love the WII. I had a friend in Chicago that bought herself one. She was intimated by the gym so she never went. With the Wii she lost 25 lbs. Have a Nice new year men, Myles
Man Myles, that's a tough day buddy. Go take a nap! Good job men! Way to work!!
Third PR in as many WODs, so I was happy but still I don't know why the pushups and situps take me so long compared to you guys. If I had Justin or Chris situp times I'd shave off a minute! Big improvement on the pullups and squats from my previous PR. First 50 squats unbroken. No time for warmup before WOD... just hit play and 3,2,1 GO!!
to the mortals, (not you Jacob), I took Justin's advice to the extreme from last time... for pullups, I never did more than 5 reps in a set, even though it was really easy early, I did my first set just 5, all the way through 60, then down to 3 reps per to finish. Really helped my time. It helped decrease muscle fatigue later. Just like rowing the other day. I started with the 1:51-1:52 split and 18+ minutes later ended the same way. Too easy early and had to force myself to take it easy, but it paid later. Pacing!
Back in Houston, but I haven't made it to the gym yet. My last night at home I did some work on the treadmill for 20 minutes and did 100 burpees. Not looking forward to going to work tomorrow. But, I am excited to get back into a good routine.
