  1. Now that was a ball busting WOD. I really liked this one. Rob Orlando is an animal. 95lbs on this is insane!

    My numbers: 35,45,50,55,60

I had no more weight to throw on the dumbbells, but it didn't matter. I was spanked in the 5th round.

    Kill it guys

  2. WODoers: Had to do this with a barbell cause no dumbells. Good wod.

    Total weight: 65,95,115,135,155

Didn't know where to start, but definitely knew where to stop!

  3. WODoers: Just read a great quote that I thought I should share.

Just make up your mind at the very outset that your work is going to stand for quality…that you are going to stamp a superior quality upon everything that goes out of your hands, that whatever you do shall bear the hall-mark of excellence. Orison Swett Marden

  4. My quote from the other day actually came from Robb Wolf's podcast, where he said "Rob Orlando could stomp a hole in your ass."

    Uh, yup, he sure could.

I have to skip this one. No pulling from the floor. If I'm not smart about allowing this lower back thing heal it never will. Still thinking about seeing a PT about it, I dunno.

I did 3 days in a row anyway (since getting home) so I am sore all over and feeling that good beat down feeling!

Justin, love the quote. Values.com has a quote subscription where you are sent some good inspiration each day, I love some of the stuff they put out there. Here are a few recent ones (one or two of these might be from the main site, I collect these things, want to share them with my kids when they are old enough to understand):

“There is no passion to be found playing small - in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.” - Nelson Mandela

Remember there's no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end.

“Things turn out best for the people who make the best out of the way things turn out.” — John R. Wooden

"There are two ways of exerting one's strength: one is pushing down, the other is pulling up." – Booker T. Washington

"If 50 million people say a foolish thing, it is still a foolish thing." Anatole France

"There is no such thing as a self-made man. We are made up of thousands of others. Every one who has ever done a kind deed for us, or spoken one word of encouragement to us, has entered into the make-up of our character and of our thoughts, as well as our success." - George Matthew Adams

"When we long for life without difficulties, remind us that oaks grow strong in contrary winds and diamonds are made under pressure." - Peter Marshall

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ‘WOO HOO! What a ride!’” - Unknown

If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it’ll spread into your work and into life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you most not stay there, you must go beyond them. - Bruce Lee

  5. OK, OK. I think I really am back into the groove again. Finally back and work and getting things back into some sort of real routine here. Lots of shit going on right now, but will hopefully be picking up a new truck this weekend!! Hell Ya!!

    35-40-50-55-60
Did Shoulder presses the first 3 rounds cause I'm a dumbass, then realized it was push presses. Thru 2 SP on 3rd round, 3 PP on 4th and 0 PP on 5th to a break then finished rest of round w/o break.

  6. Did this one tonight as WOD #2 of the double-header. Did all the lifts in the round one right after the other, with about a 2 minute rest between rounds. DB cleans are still the most akward lift. Anyway, as rx'ed besides the uncoordinated-ness.

    35, 45, 55, 65, 70f

70# db - 5 deads, fail on cleans, 3 on pp, 3 squats - dropped db's too many times
