"Nutts"


Since my ex went completely insane and stole my dogs, and because I would rather not argue with an angry insane nut job, I had to get a new duck hunting partner. Meet Teal, T for short. He is the new mascot of the Barn Gym and he cannot wait for October!! Teal says, "Did somebody say, 'Get the birds!!??'"

  1. WODoers: This was a mind bender. Also, I think my body is still trashed from fran and the crazy run wod I did. My heart rate was high, but I was almost afraid to do the beginning of the wod cause I new that I would get to the 200 dus. The dus were fucked up, but I did em. I was even being a pussy and counting the reps that got stuck under my feet, so I did an extra 15 at the end to make sure the hero wod was at least legit. Wow I already miss the bar at the gym, those rings are tough. Tough wod. Rx'dtt=36:01

  2. Justin, way to work and I love the dog! Dogs warm the heart, especially puppies. Even pictures of puppies. What's up T?

    WODuders, I screwed this one up. I didn't notice the double unders somehow (don't ask me how) when I read this WOD on my phone, and as you are all well too aware I cannot do many of these moves right now like DL's, running, DUs, box jumps, etc.

    So I did this:

    10 HSPUs (full ROM on these)
    Row 500M damper on 10
    25 30" Box step ups
    50 pullups (a little kipping)
    100 wall balls (9' target, couldn't do them inside for the 10' target, my little ones were in there, afraid the ball would smash them)
    Row 500M damper on 10

    TT = 17:56.

    Still kicked my ass in good and left me shaky and gasping for air, but skipping the DU's entirely was lame. I would have subbed something in the 10 minute realm had I realized they were there.

  3. I subbed 40 20" box jumps and tuck jumps for the double unders. Wall balls kicked my ass and the run with the plate was brutal. I was sweating so bad it was hard to hold on to. Great WOD, real ass kicker. I still need to make up the Core madness. Just not right this second. Maybe later.

  4. I had some subs but tried to stay true to the WOD:

    10 HSPU (head to 2" pad)
    15 DL 250#
    40 BJ, 20"
    50 PU
    100 barbell thrusters
    400 single unders
    500m row, damper 10

    TT = 29:10

    I'd still be outside if I tried to make 200 DUs. SUs were in sets of 60-80 at a time.

    I may squeeze in tomorrow's WOD in the morning, but otherwise it's time for the beach! Oh gin & tonic, how I've missed you...

  5. Running a day behind. I've been on the phone over the past evening and this morning trying to get the movers that are supposed to show up to actually show up like they said they would. Anyway, I got this one in this afternoon.

    As Rx'ed = 36:38

    DU's were tough as shit. My shoulders were trashed going into the plate run. Anyway, have a good weekend fellas. Later.
