Squat Cleans and Situps

Complete as many rounds in seven minutes as you can of:

95 pound Squat clean, 10 reps
20 Sit-ups

The standard for the sit-up is feet anchored, back of the hands touch the ground above your head on the bottom, and hands touch the anchor at the top. No Abmat.

  1. Good morning guys. 7 minutes piece of cake right? Yeah not so much. It was hard for me to keep moving this morning. I had 5 rounds in sight, but came up just short.

    4 Rounds + 10 Squat cleans + 14 Situps

    Enjoy rest day, Peace out!

  2. WODoers:

Lower back was in a knot from the sprints and I'm supposed to hit them again today at lunch...uugh!

Had to hook feet under the bar, which is not a very good anchor, so slow situps.

    4 rounds + 2 squats

  3. I am bummed. I love CrossFit, and I love lifting, but again, this morning, my back went out. I was making up the front squat 3's WOD, was on the 225 lb round (PR is 240x3, but was surely gonna beat that today) and I went down on rep 2, then on the way up my lower left back (same exact spot that heavy dead's pulled it) cracked/popped once, then twice, I dropped the weight immediately.

The morning routine of getting ready for work was actually a bit scary. Even breathing sent sharp pains through my body, but bending over, putting on socks, etc. was really gnarly. I've been threatening to go to a PT, well now I know I have to. 1/18 was when I originally whacked it

This was weird, it was like a bone crunching thing like when you get a chiropractic adjustment. The reason I even went there was because I did some pretty heavy back squats last week and it didn't hurt me, so I thought only pulling moves were a problem.

Not sure what I'll be able to do going forward, I'll see what the PT says. BW stuff is OK and rowing, don't know what else though.

  4. Fletcher: I think you should think about getting a reverse hyper. There is one from Rouge for $750.00. It is suppossed to be a miracle for low back issues.

  5. I just don't know where I'd put that big ol thing, and I just bought a new mtn bike frame yesterday that I've been working on Chelle for for like a year, so spending $750 right now won't happen. Long term though, yah.... I should check it out. I saw the videos about it. Thanks dude. Back problems suck. Just about a year ago I jacked my shoulder up but it is totally fine now, so hopefully this will get better too. I hear that back issues can be really tough to overcome sometimes.

  6. I've been in company meetings the past 2 days, so tonight was the first chance I had to get back to it. Started off with this one and will get to yesterday's now.

    As Rx'ed - 4 rounds + 10 cleans

    Feeling good. On to #2...
