This blog is for a bunch of guys who do CrossFit Workouts from all over the place to post our results, musings, and ramblings for all to see.
No go for me today. Shoulder is not happy and HSPU's will aggravate the hell out of it.
ReplyDeleteWay to go Myles! It looks like you kicked some ass at the Regionals.
WODoers - Haven't done a WOD in 6 days, my back is really not good. I go to the Denver Spine Center tomorrow, hopefully they can diagnose me and get me on a recovery plan, hopefully I didn't rupture a disk.
ReplyDeleteToday I had to WOD, so I did the only two moves I could think of that wouldn't put pressure on my lower back: Dead Hang Pullups and Ring Dips, cos you are suspended. Tried K2E's but that hurt.
AMRAP in 15 minutes:
7 dead hang pullups
7 ring deeps
All reps were deep and slo-mo.
11 rounds + 5 pullups
Myles, there are only 19 CrossFitters in the brutal Southwest Region that were able to outdo you this past weekend. That is something to be very proud of. You are a baaaaaaad dude. I was crapping myself when I saw you in first during most of the first event!!! Tell us about the games when you get a chance.
That's funny, I wrote ring "deeps" accidentally, but deep was on my mind.
ReplyDeleteMyles, way to go man!.. You are the genuine article and one bad dude. Your hard work payed off this weekend and I'm sure if they had more WOD's they'd be seeing your name near the top of the heep more often then not.
ReplyDeleteAwesome job man!
First day back after 7 full days off... man does it suck!
ReplyDeleteWOD 1:
"Fran"
21-15-9 reps for time of:
Thrusters, 95lbs
Pull-ups
Jacob 2:53 (1:03,0:55 and 0:55)
I totally sucked it up on the 9's.
15 minute rest then...
WOD 2:
Rowing Challenge
Complete 1 stroke on the first minute, 2 strokes on the second minutes and so on until you've completed 10 minutes of rowing and 55 total strokes. Note your meters rowed and calories generated. Then rest exactly 3 minutes, then row a 500m sprint for time.
Your score for the WOD is [(Meters + Calories)/ Time in seconds for 500m].*Do not count your meters and calories for the 500m sprint at the end, just use your time as the denominator.
Jacob
1301m Rowed, 80 Calories Pulled in 55 strokes. 500m Row 1:41(101 seconds)
Score 1381/101= 13.67
This is a WOD I came up with, and believe me it sucked ass towards the end. You really gotta pull like a son of a bitch to get your meters up on this one. It was fun though.
Also I posted all my stuff from regionals on my blog if anyone is interested in checking out some of the WOD's and what not.
I got my butt kicked but still I was happy to make it through it all.
Next year!
My first WOD since last Monday. Big fat DNF on this one. I got through 4rds in about 19 minutes (subbed 115# barbell for DBSCs) and was done. Still feeling like crap, plus a wicked past few days in terms of traveling/no sleep/lots of parties (friends, mom's day, kid's 1st communion). Not a good excuse in the lot, I know, but I was just empty nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteOh well, hopefully do better tomorrow making up on of the recent WODs.
WODoers: Did some swim sprints for lunch and the Westside speed day after work.
ReplyDelete185 clean squat then one front squat for 7 rounds one minute rest
9 round 95#press x 3 40 seconds rest
255 sumo dead lift x1 9 rounds 30 seconds rest
I am convinced the west side speed days are amazing.
Fletcher: I used my kitchen counter to do home made reverse hypers and my back feels great. Also, I bet the pool helped.
Still running a day late today. I did the Jerry WOD today.
ReplyDeleteRun 1 mile
Row 2k
Run 1 mile
TT = 28:34
The rower wasn't working today. It wouldn't start timing or recording distance, so I just rowed for 8 1/2 minutes thinking that would be close. Anyway, I liked this one.
I'll catch up tomorrow, and be back on schedule Wednesday. Later fellas.
