I am really in a funk today, feeling truly depressed if I were to be honest. Couldn't do this either, huge knee pain doing air squats during warm up. I guess it's from the 300 lunges/squats yesterday. I don't know what else to say....
I hope this doesn't happen to you guys. Both doctors are convinced that lifting heavy will eventually injure everyone who does it long enough. I hope that's not true because I loved it, and I know you guys love it too. If someone would have told me that before I hurt myself I wouldn't have changed a thing. It took injury for me to be forced to change.
PMFR baby. I did 45# barbell thrusters like the last time this came up.
TT = 7:55
This compares to 11:40 last time (090820). I think strategy did most of it: I aimed for sets of 15 every 45 seconds, which would have given me 7:30 or less. Kept on schedule until about 100, then I started to slip. Last time I started by banging out like 45 to start, and it killed me.
This is exactly what I want to do. 15 every 40 seconds. Hopefully my knee won't act crazy tomorrow AM and I can get this done. I have always done this WOD with a 9 foot target in my garage, but now I am doing to do it in the living room, 13 foot high cielings and I already have a piece of tape marking the 10 foot target. I was all ready to go this morning, but did some squats warming up and couldn't even do them.
Pacing yourself is definitely the key on this one. I saw the morning times and was thinking throughout the day how I could pace myself. I started out with 3x25, with 15-20 seconds between, then went 5x15 to close out with 10-15 seconds between sets.
TT = 7:38
I also did this one in front of one of the full-length windows tonight. I assumed the window to be about 10' tall. It was a good way to force myself to hit the target on every throw. On to Eva. Later fellas.
Damn fine work fellas. I went too hard too fast this morning. Busted out 35 and it winded me too much. I then broke it into sets of 15. Much better strategy. Next time...
Did this one in my living room 11.5' ceiling. My dog looked at me like WTF are you doing.
ReplyDeleteGood one, winded the shit out of me.
TT: 7:57(pr)
Fletcher: That is a bummer man. Way to focus on what you can do. That is the key.
ReplyDeleteWODoers: Did this one as rx'd. 9:19 pr. My shoulder just kept on giving up. Lungs and legs could go much faster.
For clarification I did this RX'd. I did not throw that damn ball 11.5' 10 foot was more than enough.
