10 MUs, 100 75 lb push presses, row 1K

  1. here's our standard sub for the MUs boys (except super Justin who can bang out the MUs):

    20 ring pullups chin over hands
    20 deep (always!) ring dips
    NOT PARTITIONED

    So that's what I did for the MUs, the rest RX'd.

    Those PP's were a nightmare after awhile. I felt like I was stopping too often but I jsut couldn't go, shoulders were fried.

    Warm up was: Row 500m, 20 GHDs, 20 BEs, 5 dead hang pullups, 20 pushups, 20 squats, ballistic stretching, work on the foam roller.

    After the WOD I did some gay boy bicep work (been doing that once a week for a couple of months)

    21's with 35 lb dumbbells
    10 50 lb curls each arm (assist on the up stroke from other arm)
    another set of 21's with 35 pounders

    SPANKED!!!

    MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Let's get more consistent you guys... WTF?!??!! COME ON!!!!! We all count on each other to get the work done!!!!

  2. I snatched 83kg yesterday, not a PR, but first time over 80kg in months, so happy that I am back on track.

    Fletcher, what is ballistic stretching?

  3. I did this a little different. I did a 1K run because I don't have a rower. Instead of the MUs I did 10 ring pull ups and 10 ring dips. Both with 45 pounds. PP were RXd as far as weight.

    The Pull ups were no prob with the weight, but the dips were a killer. I think that killed the PP. I did 50, ran and then finish the last 50.

  4. Ok, so I'm trying to catch up after a week off being sick and I can feel it. I just don't have that extra pep I normally would have in the gym, but at least I'm getting the work in. So, I can't do MU's since I have no rings so I was going to do weighted dips and weighted chin ups...Scratch that! Someone stole the weighted dip belt I loaned the gym. Thanks ASS!!! So, I did 50 dips, 30 chin ups as a sub. Not the same, but it's what I came up w/on the fly.
    The rest as RX'd.
