Used a ratchet strap to attach the ole 75#er to the bar. Rough day for the ole 75#er.

This blog is for a bunch of guys who do CrossFit Workouts from all over the place to post our results, musings, and ramblings for all to see.
Myles: Are they ever going to do a level one at your place? That would be the sweetest deal if we could get the crew out there for one of those.
ReplyDeleteWODoers: Had to do sumo deadlifts to accomodate the ole 75er. Was rough.

I think this is going to crush my legs tomorrow and the next day. Going to have to redo the ole 75er too.
Justin, what is this 100 day challenge you speak of? Dead hang pullups and HSPU's? How many of each? I did my first HSPU's yesterday to test the shoulder. They were to ABMat, but felt great to do again. I love those things.
ReplyDeleteLove the setup you have there. We have 2 foot of snow on the ground and it hasn't stopped since Friday with no end in sight. Thank god my setup is inside.
Myles props to you again. Mikko was in the house that is awesome!
Chris,
ReplyDeleteDay 1 do 1 of each day 2 do 2 of each and so on until you get to 100. The key is to do them for perfect form. Full lock out of the shoulders on pullups and head touch on hsps. Partition however you want throughout the day. If they are part of a wod, then count the reps toward the total.
The idea is for me is to not be a pussy at hsps by the end of the cycle. Fletcher is doing it too, but he is incorporating the 3 on 1 off rest into the cycle. We are going to compare results.
Thanks for the clarification Justin. I thought it might be something like that. I may join in on the fun here shortly. I'm working my way back into the WOD's gradually.
ReplyDeleteI think I'll start this on January 1st. Gives me few more weeks to get my ass back in shape.
Fletcher will start with it tomorrow. I never started it. I did the one day at day 33 and then thought "I better start at 1"...
ReplyDeleteI love your picture bro. That's commitment. You win the "most committed blog dude" award for 2010. Who will win in 2011? What is the prize? Dark Chocolate?
Simpson - wuddup!
Oh, and I am going to skip this WOD. I am not supposed to do deads like ever again. Have two days in a row of buddy WOD's coming up. My personal trainer friend Heath is coming over tomorrow (he has been indoctrinated with several CF ass kickings recently) and Thursday my IRONMAN triathlete buddy is coming by. During Winter he wants to get strong so he's been doing squats, metcons, and tomorrow for the first time.. deads over at the garage gym. Should be fun. His cardio is out of this world, but the strength, not so much.
ReplyDeleteSo this is how it feels to be Craig with the triple post. What's up buddy!!
ReplyDeleteFirst time doing heavy deads in a long time. I was happy with my results.
255x2,265x2,275x2,285x2,295x2
300x2,300x2,300x2,300x2,300x2
Later guys!
So you guys have got me interested too. I don't know if this is gonna load me up too much later on, but I started today w/ 1 HSPU (to an abmat but full ROM there), 1 DH PU, and 1 ring dip (another goat of mine). I'll see how this goes. I'm doing the RDs with fully straight legs; rings are just high enough that if I touch my heels (no toes!) to the ground then I'm fully down.
ReplyDeleteThen deads:
255-275-285-295-305-315-325-335(1)-315-305-305
Then 205x15, which felt more like just stretching than lifting.
Nice deadlift bar Justin! We might have specialty certs but I don't think a level one would work we are too small and not enough equipment. Did shoulder presses today and made it up to 190. Tomorrows WOD looks fun!
ReplyDeleteA couple days late as usual. I did this one last night as part one of a double, but haven't been able to post because of spotty internet at the house lately. Anyway,
