  1. Chas: Very nice post. Love to hear about guys like Mike. I like the WOD. I think the first 400/500 should required to be within 3 seconds of your pr so you are just dying and ready puke after the first exercise.

    WODoers: I did dead hang pullups and still got a pr. Also, I started out with a pr of 12 consecutive hsps. I subbed 30 24" box jumps in a pile of snow and ran with my 70# sandbag.

  2. Hey dudes, love the respect and patriotism lately. I am thankful to God daily for people like Nutts and Chas' Uncle for sacrificing so bravely for our freedom and ideals. THAT, is commitment. THAT, is walking the talk.

    So today is my 39th birthday and my buddy Sean wrote me a birthday WOD which I almost did, but when I saw that it was Nutts, and I look back on how wimpily I did this, along with how many chippers I've been doing lately and missing the comradery of the blog, I went Nutts.

    Subbed 200M row @ 10 and did 100 double unders and 200 single unders (because I am a super novice jump roper). Coming into the DU's I was at 15:30, TT 30:18. Just goes to show you how loong the jump roping took me. It was hard to not set the plate down during the run (more like a wog) but I never did. I need to practice DU's more... I want to get a speed cable rope, my rope is way lame. The main site demo dudes make DU's look soooo easy... but I am lucky if I can do them one at a time. At least I did 100 of them. That alone took me 10 minutes.

  3. Subbed rowing for DLs that is... and also did WB's outside around the side of the house for true blue 10 footers. Shoulders are fried. Will do evil/heavy Cindy from yesterday tomorrow or next day, depends on what comes up for tomorrow. Had to rest yesterday, the 400M lunge killed my legs.

  4. Bowling? So we had a Christmas party at the local bowling alley last night and I bowled a 258 opening game. I have probably only bowled 3 times in the last ten years. Crazy shit eh? I think the extra strength from the x-fit must have something to do with it. That is my best game ever by 30 pins. Bowling and x-fit who would have thunk it?

    I realize DU's are harder, but I don't have them down just yet. My legs are sore as hell from all those OHS's yesterday.

  6. Justin that is incredible! Do you throw the spin/curve or a straight ball. What size ball? I'm gonna guess the ol' 16er.

    Chris, nice work sir! For me DU's take 5x time/effort (100 of them took me 10 minutes for example... today). I want to get a speed cable rope. My wife is out in the garage WODding right now and is screaming bloody murder. That usually means she is doing pullups.
