rest day

  1. Swim sprints 20 rds.

Basically tied last time. A little bit faster on the opening rounds. Pretty good after going Mr. Joshua, Mary, Fran. I bet the 10k race, "run" for me, tomorrow hurts like a muther, but that's okay, that is what it is supposed to do, the 27th is coming up in a hurry.

  2. Nice job Justin, way to train hard and consistently.

It's official, we signed the lease on our space and will be moving in on July 1. Many items to accomplish between now and then to pull it off well.

Beach workouts are going well for the the Crossfitters. Definitely can live without a gym in the middle of summer for a month. My car loves being loaded with 11 kettle bells today.

    Have a great weekend.

  3. My body is destroyed after my last WOD's in under 12 hours. Everything hurts alot and I can't move my neck.

Justin, one of the keys I used to getting a better Fran was at least once a week hitting up a shoulder press routine like this.

    Shoulder Press 21-15-9-6

    I would usually shoot for loads like 95lbs, 115lbs, 135lbs, 155lbs.

And the second half to get my legs condition during the week would either be a 500m Row x3 or x5 depending on how I felt. Rest as needed inbetween 500m intervals.

The confidence and strength gains made with the shoulder presses let my know I could go overhead with the weight even while I was tired and the rowing sprints inflicted more pain on my legs then Fran ever did, so I knew I could press through while doing the WOD.

But it's just something that help me go from a 3:20 Fran to a 2:53 Fran in about 2-3 months time.

    Hope it helps.
