DT was still hurting me today and so was my shoulder. Couldn't even warm up with 135 on the bench so I subbed HSPs for the bench. This was rough today. Lost my card with numbers on it but total was 117, way below PR. Forearms were shot from yesterday.
Did the same bench wt as previous b/c bench press is only done on this WOD, so not so sure I could do BW today
BP 195# 10- 8- 5-5-3 Pull Ups 17-11-11-9-9
Reps = 88, same as last time although few less on the bench and few more on the pull ups. Hmm, have been doing more pull ups?? Also watched a kid do 4 pull ups last night on a bar outside their tents and gave him a little shit. "How many can you do, sir?" So, I haven't done just a max pull up since well before last year (20 was the number). Pumped out 22 like nothing and felt strong, could have done well over 25 or more had I been trying at all. He did comment on my kipping though, but didn't say too much as I did 18 more than he did struggling.
Jacob - Nice PR. Less than one second separated us, isn't that amazing? Every second counts eh? Michael got 7:03 though, so I have to try to beat that next time. I think I have an advantage with rowing since I'm tall... if I had your wind Jacob I could row really really good I bet.
Today I skipped the wimpy CrossFit WODs and rode my mountain bike at 10,000 feet for over 4 hours, climbed 3,500 feet over 25 miles of single track. I am S P A N K E D!!!!! Really really whooped. Tomorrow we do it again. 3,500 feet of vertical climbing is no joke boys, it's serious stuff.
Did this one last night still trying to catch up from this past weekend. Kipping rhythm is still off. Most PU's were swing, PU, hang, swing, PU, hang, etc...I'm still surprised every time that I do bench that I'm able to go up a little at a time.

Finally got around to the 2K Row after working 41 hours in a 48 hour period...on only 6.5 hours of sleep.
ReplyDeleteI am going to die young at this pace.
Jacob 2K Row 7:16.3 (PR)
Picture is up on the blog.

ReplyDeleteBench (210#) / PU's (felt like 275#)
6 / 10
6 / 11
5 / 10
4 / 9
4 / 10
Total: 75
It felt like I could've gotten one more rep on bench per round if I'd had a spotter.
