Progressive C&J's

With a continuously running clock do one 135 pound Clean and Jerk the first minute, two 135 pound Clean and Jerks the second minute, three 135 pound Clean and Jerks the third minute... continuing as long as you are able.

  1. Wasn't feeling like Cindy or Mary tonight. So, I was going to catch up with an old WOD that I missed over the weekend and saw tomorrow's WOD. It looked good, so I did it - complete from ground to overhead on each rep.

    7 complete rounds

Didn't complete 8 in the 8th minute. But, I knew I could get 8 in a minute. So, I took a bit of a rest and was able to get it. After this WOD, I did the wall ball, BE, sit-up WOD.

I'm a hurting unit today. I went to Grand Isle, LA for the International Tarpon Rodeo. Didn't see a single fish or a fishing boat. Spent the weekend on the beach playing drinking games or chasing women til 4-5 am. Was fun, but I'm getting old. Why do chicks get so pissed when you answer, "what's my name?" wrong? Seriously, I wouldn't mind if they forgot my name.

  3. Mikey: That is good stuff. Nice work on the wod, I will have to hit that tomorrow it looks like fun...for the first four rounds.

    WODoers:

45 minute free run in Steamboat. Lots of box jumps, even some 36" one on a retaining wall. Lots of vaults and running up slanted trees. Steamboat is still cool, but it aint the cool little town I used to work in in the summer. A lot of unfortunate influence from Denver and Summit County here now.

  4. 11 Rounds, then I quit. I think I did 11+ last time but I'm not too sure. I really should track things more closly then I do.

  5. First time with this one. It was deceiving on paper, sneaks up on you quickly. I managed 6 rounds + 4 as the timer went off. I think I could of got 7 in but I messed myself up a couple times with the transition from the clean to the jerk.

  6. WODoers:

6 rounds and 6. I also missed a jerk. Waiting three minutes and did 10 in a minute. Didn't have the want to this a.m., super tired from driving and depositions in Steamboat.

  7. Once again, tricked by CrossFit. I thought to myself "I oughta be able to get 8 1/2 rounds out of this one, doesn't seem so bad!" 135 lbs isn't supposed to feel this heavy.

I got 7 1/2 rounds. Up through round 4 it's easy, then something crazy happens. Round 6 totally gassed me but I did them unbroken, and round 7 is where it fell apart. Did 3 then set the bar down, then stared at it for like 15-20 seconds. Barely finished round 7, had like 2 seconds to go, then I couldn't breathe. Did like 3 in round 8.

Then I sat there for a bit and did 9 more in 3 sets of 3. Wasn't very impressed with myself today. Tomorrow I have to row a 10K, and that's going to plain suck ass.

  9. I'll see what I could do.... They were power cleans, not squat cleans though.
