Clean and Jerk 1-1-1-1-1

  1. WODoers:

I worked my way up to 215 and then jumped past 225 to try and pr at 235. I couldn't quite get it. I did manage to get the 235 to my chest once but I couldn't keep it together. I am definitely going to start incorporating some of the Mike's gym work outs into my routine now that I have the bumpers. Oly lifting is really fun when you can drop the weights.

  2. Yeah Justin. You should def. incorporate some of those workouts. Also Cathletics.com has some cool stuff to do. Try doing something every time you wod, Even if it's with a pvc, just keep going through the movements. Mikes Gym has cool progressions that have worked for me, as long as you stay on track.

  3. We don't do this lift often enough and man did it show today. Had a hard time with these for some reason.

    135-155-165-185-190(tied pr)-195(f)-195(f)

Then just practiced with 135 and then just the bar.

I need to practice the Oly lifts more often apparently. That seems to be the general consensus on here.

Felt solid despite the fact that I'm recovering from a broken toe and a wicked wrist sprain. Singles I can suffer through, but I feel a little sketchy pressing on my wrist. Probably should take a week to rest and I might just do that since I have a medical conference to go to for 2 days this week. Sucks, the damn thing starts at 6AM and goes to 5PM both days.

  5. Another late make-up for me. Started with the 5k, then moved to this to finish up the day.

    135, 155, 175, 185, 195, 205f, 205, 215fx3

First attempt at 215 was pretty poor. I almost locked out the second, but just couldn't hang on. And, the third was about as bad as the first. I know my little engine can make it, just not today.
