Rest Day Question and Comments

  1. Myles: I know your Paleo biased, but I have a nutritional question for you about the zone. I am back to a strict measured zone and I need to know how to count my post wod protein dose. It is 40g protein 26g carbs and 10g fat. I was going to count it as 3 blocks out of my 21 block 1.5x fat allowance, do you agree? It is technically 5.8 blocks protein, 2.6 blocks of carbs, and 6 blocks of fat. After reading what I just wrote, I guess I should probable count it as 4?

Chris: I am guessing that you wanted to puke in rounds 2 & 3, and then again when you were done.

Weaver: What the hell, this burpee squat is your dream workout. 7 rounds + posissibility!

  2. Justin, here's what I got out of the book

    Large Male:
    5-5-2-5-2 Brk/Lunch/Sn/Din/Sn
Or if your metabolism is slower, try this:
    medium male is 5-5-1-5-1
    I block protein = 7 grams
    1 block carbs = 9 grams
    1 block fat = 1.5 grams

You didn't ask about my ass? Actually the "Hemi" went mostly away, but today, not so good. Those 60 BW back squats caused it to flare it. Don't you guys love talking about the health of my ass? The reason I post this stuff is that someday maybe you'll have the same issue. This blog is about our health overall, right?

Yesterday when the 20 minute buzzer went off, I literally could hardly breathe having just done my 122nd burpee, then I gutted out three more burpees, and I had a sensation I've never had before. I was GASPING for air, but it was like I couldn't get any air in for about 20 seconds. It was freaky! I felt like I was suffocating. Then I went on my back and all went well. Crazy though. I guess that means I tried hard.

  3. Justin, I haven't really got into the Zone diet. I have been trying to get there. I think it'll be one of my resolutions. It is really effective just a little time consuming for me right now. I am just eating a paleo for athletes diet, which is doing me ok right now.
